Can be used to cover all job sizes from door mirror covers and other small components to full body resprays e.g. Lamborghini / Mercedes I am wallpapering the risers on my stairs, I want to finish them with a varnish to help durability, can anyone recommend the best one to use on paper please. Apart from the frustration of progress being delayed due to this problem, it's got to the point where I am very wary, almost nervous, of spraying the matt clear coat, for fear of ruining an otherwise good model. Add the precise amount of hardener to the mixture, followingthe instructions in product’s technical data sheet.

Slate is porous, and it is sealed successfully when used as flooring or worktop products. With all sealants, even proven ones, it is recommended to test an area first before investing. Would you recommend the Polyvine Decorators Varnish in Satin or Gloss or Polyvine Lacquer? I still want the areas to be white and not have any yellowing effect. Thanks for your assistance Kirby, thanks for the suggestion of Gunze - I haven't seen it at any of the usual outlets here in the UK, but I'll look around for it. Clear coat determines the gloss degree of your car, motorcycle, caravan or any other vehicle. Matt automotive clear car paint makes your car look more glamorous. However, there are other functional advantages that are of greater importance. One major advantage is that this clear coat matte provides protection from the sun and ultraviolet rays that cause the car paint to fade. Hence, your car paint appears new for a longer period of time. Matt clear varnish aerosol is a clear transparent hard protective finish or film. It is applied over car spray paints as a final step to achieve a film forprotection. 1 Component Matt Clear Coat in Spray Can

Like Colin, using either of these varnishes over chalky paints isn’t something I would recommend. Not only do you loose the natural chalky look of the paint but they also seem to darken the colour by at lease a shade or two. Word to the wise – if you’ve created an ‘antiquing’ effect over darker coloured chalky paints then the effect may be lost when the colour changes as the glaze doesn’t darken in equal measure. We then apply each mixture to a sample panel and compare them with the surface to be repaired to see which one best matches the glossy finish. If you’re looking to break out of a manicure rut, you don’t necessarily need to go crazy with electric hues or fancy nail art. Changing up the finish is arguably the easiest (and most wearable) way. Instead of opting for a classic cream or metallic, make the move to matte. There is also a tool, called the gloss meter, which has been specially designed to measure the gloss level required for a clear coated or polished surface. mattclear coats describes a clear varnish that needs to be mixed with a paint hardener, catalyst or paint activator. Once it hardens, it is much less susceptible to damages. SprayMax Matte Clear Coat Aerosol

I have used the satin finish to protect handles / knobs painted with matt emulsion from sample pots. I wipe it on with the velour taken from a paint pad. Several coats works great. Until the change to Johnson's 'Klear' (Future) in the UK, I had happily used this for over twenty years, both as a gloss coat, and mixed with Tamiya Flat Base to produce matt, satin, and other variations. As has been discussed elsewhere, the formula change, at least in the UK, forced me to change to the relatively new Humbrol Gloss Clear, which, as a gloss coat, works quite well. Similarly, over-dilutingmatte clearcoat may make the coat too thin, which will also reduce the final surface gloss. 3. Matte clearcoat application techniqueI won't rule out an enamel matt clear, such as the Modelmaster product (Testor's Dull Coat?), IF this is known to age without 'yellowing'. The results range from an even, matt surface finish, through semi-matt, to a patchy semi-matt, with areas of greyish-white 'frosting', where the varnish has perhaps accumulated, for exampe around raised detail, or wing trailing edges, showing the matting agent when dry. Some decal producers recommend coating their sheets with a clear coat or varnish as they don't do it when the make the sheet and if used as supplied they will just fall apart. The other alternative I can obtain easily, is the Revell Aqua matt clear, but I know nothing of it's performance or dried finish. If you want an even more elevated style, celebrity nail artist Elle Gerstein says you can create even more texture to your nails by using the matte polish to paint on patterns and prints, or consider layering a matte top coat over a metallic shade. “It dulls the shine and brings out the texture and gives it another dimension, but is still light-reflective. It looks like natural stone that hasn’t been buffed yet,” she explains.
