Stars? 4 Stars? I'M NOT SURE! There were parts of this book that I loved while other parts bored or confused me. I guess I'll settle for 3 maybe 3 1/2 stars. Ryan Landon had an ax to grind; I didn’t hold it against him. My father had decimated the Landon fortune and Ryan wanted a Cross to pay for that. He wasn’t the first or last businessman to come after me because of my father, but he was the most tenacious. And he was young enough to have plenty of time to dedicate to the task. Sylvia Day created two extraordinary characters in Gideon and Eva....and I just wish that she could have found a way to streamline her storytelling. This series, and this book in particular, is entirely too long. SO. MUCH. FILLER. I brushed his hand away. “ Is it over?
