My 3 year old son loves to roll balls and therefore the characters along and pretends that they are travelling around, before transforming them and playing with them in their animal form. So you have two modes of play. They have had had heavy duty testing believe me with the constant rolling into furniture and skirting boards (what chipped paint?!), and so far there is no sign of damage to the toys at least so these are good quality and sturdy. Where a failure does not amount to a major failure, Mr Toys is entitled to choose between providing you with a repair, replacement or other suitable remedy. We really like the Twisty Petz from Spinmaster and was excited to see that they have expanded their range to include the Twisty Girlz. The first thoughts we had were how would a girl transform into a bracelet? Well, we were very excited to find out! If you don’t know about the Twisty Petz/Girlz here is a little more info. What are the Twisty Girlz? I’m not sure my girls would wear the pet as a ring, as seemed to prefer to play with it more but this will be an individual preference. They are brilliant collectibles highly detailed, with 4 dolls in this range: Kitty Kat and Glitzy Bitzy who we got and then there is Krystal Kool and Lea-Purr (super rare doll) as well. There are these secret pets to find – unicorn, elephant, puppy, and kitty.

They're based in convenient locations including supermarkets, newsagents and train stations. Plus they're often open late and on Sundays. With each of your Twisty Girlz you get a mystery pet in a little box! My eldest got a unicorn and my middley a cat. These can easily be transformed into a ring or pet. You can also connect to your Twisty Girl with a leash, which is included. For me, I do wish this was less focused on the pink end of the market as it is a toy that anyone can play with; it is a lovely concept as kids love to roll things. The girls have played with their Twisty Girlz lots and I was quite fond of them too!The dolls look pretty cool and I love jewellery too, the bracelets are fab. The manufacturers recommended age for this toy is 5-12 years, but personally I would go a little lower as my 3 year old did get a lot out of playing with them, but he has older siblings and loves imaginative play with characters. I also think that 12 is a little ambitious. I would say ages 3 up until 7 would be the ideal range to get the most out of this toy,(Editor’s note – this is the reviewer’s opinion) possibly 8, but older children may need the building play sets to really move their play to the next level. Unlike my three year old who is delighted to just roll them around and repeatedly “wake them up”. I did find the Twisty Pets a little hard to make into the animal but even I had no issues with the Twisty Girlz. I like how you can wear as a bracelet but they are easy to play with as dolls too. As with many collections, you can get rare and super rare girlz and they all have different outfits and hairstyles. Opening the Product The recommended age range is from 4 and upwards and I would agree; it is difficult to set an upper limit on something like this. My 10 year old daughter wouldn’t wear the dolls as jewellery when out, but she may incorporate it into a game at home and would certainly play with them as dolls. For me the ideal target range would be from 4 years up until 8 or 9 depending upon your child.

What I especially like is that your child could wear these toys when going on a day trip, play with them in the car or even at a restaurant then wear them home again thus removing the need for a toy bag! They have great appeal as a travel toy, and as a small fidget toy.Best friends forever: With two Twisty Girlz BFFs you can mix and match with the mystery pet. Add their two unique charms to any bracelet or ring combination for extra fashion fun. It was easy to transform the Twisty Girlz. My 4 year old did need a little help but her older sister was fine and could do alone. They are quite therapeutic to mess around with and hold. My girls did this loads with the Twisty Petz.
