The blue color in the Volvo emblem depicts excellence and reliability of the make, whereas the silver signifies its sophistication and creativity. The Volvo emblem features a handwritten typeface created by Forsberg. Each year, upgrades to the Volvo car logo focused on making the brand image more synonymous with quality and reliability. 1927 The Volvo symbol was designed in the 1950s by Karl-Erik Forsberg, the renowned Swedish calligrapher, graphic artist, and typographer. It comprises of the pre-historic chemical mark of Iron. This archaic emblem also symbolizes Mars, the God of War, and “male” the gender symbol denoting. Emblem The first series car ran out behind the plant gate in 1927. The enterprise received the complete independence from SKF in 1935.
