This small mosquito car looks better than the previous K969 K989. The internal structure is basically the same. so cute. It's very fast to handle. Excellent. Servo: digital servo - this is a 3 wire servo which makes upgrading ESC and or servo very easy. Improvement over 5 wire units used elsewhere by WL toys
I like the concept of the K9 series, they are cheap, balanced, with right position of components and easy to understand, so tried to keep all this things. Full simulation structure design, full real car control feeling (remote control, realizing high-speed driving, instant acceleration, deceleration, braking, retreat, turning, lights. Independent suspension of front and rear wheels for smooth cornering and stable body posture. As a new mini mosquito car launched in 2021, it continues the stable remote control program of K969 K979 K989. At the same time, the program has also been upgraded. Makes driving more precise. Handling is really good, a lot better than I was expecting. It's not because of anything extra new or special but more because a great balance meaning all of the tyres, suspension, weight and weight distribution work well together. Speed:30km/h - I topped out at 22km/h which is still more but cover further down in the performance section of the reviewUsing time:18 min - I got around 12 minutes but think you could get closer to 18 minutes with a few improvements as detailed below. Frequency:2.4 GHZ - standard for modern digital RC. This uses the newer MR2 transmitter common on most WL toys model compared to the older style transmitters on the k989. I suggest to use the diff mod from chai_ec from Thingiverse here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5196552 INCLUDED AS A GIFT the New Rims HEELIX in Wide, Narrow and UltraWide, with offset from 0 to 4 and dedicated Tires, Curved or cambered. Good sized battery for this car and uses a proper red JST connector which is well suited to this application. There are a number of small drones that use a similar sized battery which should give a good, cheap and power range of replacements From the remote control time, the time can reach about 18 minutes. At the same time you buy multiple batteries. It can also extend the battery life. Improve playability.It's of course not without fault and the tight drive train is a real frustration. It doesn't heavily hinder performance but I don't like the way the motor gets hot during running. I've included a guide here for fixing this issue although it can be fiddly. You can of course run it as it and still get a healthy 12 minute run time although if you are a little OCD like me then you probably won't be happy until you make these repairs. There are many upgrade accessories for the discount car. I bought 2 small cars and the corresponding metal upgrade accessories. I will transform it into a super luxurious off-road car. We will wait and see. The 5-wire 3-wire digital steering gear is used to control the steering flexibly, making the driving smoother, cornering more stable, and durable.
