There was a perfect amount of comic relief to go with that trauma. The balance was so well done. While all these events are taking place, some students still attending Zodiac Academy form an undercover A.S.S. club and they meet to discuss how they can help with the war against Lionel. During one of these meeting they are warned by Marguerite that Mildred and the K.U.N.Ts have discovered them and they manage to escape just in time.

The romance in general takes up more room in this book, and it was nice because it balanced with all the action and deaths we’d had to deal with in the previous books, and in this book, but as I said at the beginning of the review, I will not write in details about every single one of them. I will just say that I am very happy that Darius and Tory finally got some time together and that they were able to enjoy their time together in this book.ok where do i begin without sounding like a couple mess? i loved this book (yes i know i’ve been crying for the past couple of days but just go with it). So the world would have to wait for us to be done with each other, because I wasn’t going to part from his body until I physically had to stop.” well i definitely had every right to be terrified of the other side lemme tell you that. proceed with caution if you haven’t read the book because there’s some spoilers sprinkled in i guess It is such a pity to end on that note really as so much of the rest of the book was really enjoyable with so many good interactions for a change including fab crossover mashups with the earlier series. I knew I'd enjoy LeonXSeth interactions if their paths crossed and boy were they both fun 🤠😆 They have the cutest sister-brother bond!!! Every time Darius calls Darcy 'little shrew' it makes me so soft! 🥺

Everyone is acting like they are still at school? We see no training, maybe 2 strategy meetings which were basically the same chat, never discussing any of the real problems. Our sorrow is spun like a web, trapping us tight, and I fear our enemies will soon come to feast upon our souls. My biggest problem is the drool worthy Dragon shifter who has his eyes on my throne. He and his three psycho friends are determined to make my time here hell. RIP to Seth and Geraldine who have lost all integrity, and any prior character building, this was destroyed in this book. Seth literally acting like a 5 year old?? And Geraldine coping an enormous amount of unintelligible sentences that made my brain hurt from all the eye rolling.

Oh my poor Zodiac Academy loving heart! Yeah, we are in bad shape folks. Sh!t has definitely gone sideways. But let's get to book structure first. So, this book was hard to rate bc it was so disjointed compared to the other books. There is so much filler that it threw the pacing off and felt very slow at times which has never really been an issue in previous books. Look, I love Geraldine but do we really need her POV with her undecipherable form of expression? There were so many happy moments and humor, I just wish it could have combined with moving the plot forward. That being said, I still have to give 5 stars bc a of huge momentous moment that I have been waiting for, for 7 freaking books and because I just love this series and the characters with my whole heart!!!! EXCUSE ME SIR BUT I LOVE YOU TOO????? not as much as orion but still ok ya nevermind i can’t have them both. I want to talk about darcyorion-bluelance-dorion-doritos whatever you call them, I call them ✨ my parents' ✨ RANGE in this book because hot damn. Literally every scene with them was so hot and memorable, they go from talking about something super emotional one second to getting down and dirty in the most creatives of ways and I'M HERE FOR IT. I swear, darcyorion warriors, we won with all of their scenes in Heartless Sky, not one single boring moment with them. 💙🤍
