About this deal

One of the most common pitfalls that users fall into when printing using a new printer is using the wrong document size, resulting in a print that's bigger or smaller than intended. We endeavour to ensure that all images are as close to the true colour as possible, however we cannot guarantee the colour representation is exact. There can sometimes be shade variations between different batches of envelopes. There can also be variations when viewing on different monitors/screens depending on the settings etc. Whilst some documents, such as art prints and photography, are best suited to being printed out in eye-catching full colour, others are best suited to the clear and reserved appearance of a monochrome print. On the other hand, flyers promoting a sale or event are usually disposable, hence why they’re made from the lightest, flimsiest low-GSM paper. Movingaway from paper, this is regarded as card (board) weights which can add a quality finish to a book if used as a cover.

First off, wow thank you for answering everyone’s questions!!! you have no idea how helpful you are. Due to the glossy finish, the ink finds it much more difficult to soak into the printer paper as it would with a matte finish material - with the wrong device and settings, this can cause the end product to be inaccurate or blemished. Instantly, this results in waste materials, which is something that every user will be looking to avoid, particularly during business use.If you're making greetings cards, you'll want to be able to print in a couple of different sizes such as A5, A4, and A3 - these are some of the most common card sizes that you'll see in stores, but you'll be free to print in any size that's within the maximum print size of the printer, so feel free to get creative! I have a cannon pixma TS5320 – i’ve read every compatible paper weight but i am still confused on the weight limit the rear tray can handle. Whilst it's important to set your orientation within your document, it's equally important to ensure that you've done the same for your printer driver too. Most printers will have specific options for printing in landscape or portrait, so just follow the manual instructions provided with your device to accurately set your device to print in the correct orientation. Colour printing vs mono printing Paper weights go as low as 40gsm for tracing paper and the optimum for most laser printers is 80gsm general-purpose printing paper. General users don’t worry about GSM limitations as they mostly print standard documents using the 80gsm reams of paper, which is recommended. Where special offers provided by Printerland and/or the manufacturer applies, the competitor must also be providing the same offer/s for the

What I’d like to be able to do is bulk buy printed leaflets (with my details and pricing info etc.) from an online printer such as vistaprint. This would cut down on the costs and my effort in generating these. However, I’d like to leave a space on these leaflets where the QR codes and login details can be printed by myself as and when they are needed for different events.

The next thing to keep an eye out for is orientation - this is another subtlety that's easily missed, but it's incredibly important and could stop you from wasting paper as well as ink/toner. On the other hand, you could choose to print in a 'landscape' orientation - this is a style that's shorter and wider, which is better suited to documents such as photographs and artwork.

Printerland cannot match the price where a manufacturer or distributor sells directly to the public

You can edit the size of your document to fit the paper that you’re using in the pre-print dialogue box - just follow the instructions and you'll be able to scale your document to the size that you desire. Get the orientation right So, the difference between our 300gsm Cheap Business Cards and our 400gsm Premium Business Cards is simply, the weight of the card. Similarly, a 120gsm letterhead is bulkier than a 90gsm letterhead. A heavier card or piece of paper contributes to a more premium feel and lasting effect with your customers. We reserve the right to verify or ask for written proof of a competitors offer before we beat the price. Using the recommended paper weight has a good impact on a printer and quality of the final print job. The effects of not doing so range from bad quality prints to printer damage. High on the list of issues is “paper jam”, which then evolves into multiple other issues with varying error codes and messages on your printer. Below are some examples of the maximum GSM recommended for the most common printing scenarios. There are a couple of factors that will impact the print quality that you see in your final product - these are:
