About this deal

Since it’s a hybrid vaporizer, mostly leaning towards conduction, grind your herb between medium and fine; Mighty– If the only factor that you care about is overall battery life per full charge, the Solo 2 has the Mighty by about 10-12 sessions. That’s about 90 minutes more use on a full charge. But I prefer the Mighty in almost all other categories, including overall portability, cleaning and maintenance, ease of use, and overall enjoyment of use. Maintenance– There’s really no way that you can completely avoid getting materials on the screens. However, you can slow down the process by emptying the chamber out immediately after a session and brushing out any materials left over. To adjust the temperature, simply press the up or down arrow button to set your desired temperature and the Solo 2 will automatically begin to heat up.

I don’t like this trend and I’m glad Arizer kept this functionality on the unit itself. The temperature is controllable with the buttons on the unit. The Arizer Solo 2 promises its fan a high-quality vapor and has therefore focused on a fully non-toxic airflow construction. The airflow system has also been improved to provide some of the easiest-to-draw vapor of any Arizer product. Like pretty much all vapes though, it will get a little harsh at the higher temperatures. The vapor is nice and cool when it hits you thanks to the long glass stems. The new upgrades have the Solo 2 competing with some of the best vaporizers on the market. I would still go for the Air 2 if you want a more portable option and replaceable batteries. You don’t get the full temp spectrum and digital display, but you still get the same smooth, consistent sessions with great taste in a fraction of the size.

What´s in the Box?

Since the battery is not easily replaceable (you’ll need to open your Arizer Solo 2 and replace it yourself), I highly recommend prolonging the battery’s lifetime to the best of your ability. Think through where you plan to use your vaporizer the most. If you plan on using it at home only, we recommend you to get a stationary vaporizer. These vaporizers connect to an electrical outlet and are for that reason the most powerful ones. There are many types, some useable by a whip, some useable by balloons and even some with both (the Volcano Hybrid and the Arizer Extreme Q). Arizer has been around for a long time and is one of the companies which strongly contributed to making vaporizers more mainstream. Even though the original Arizer Solo and Arizer Air did pretty well for themselves in this area, the Arizer Solo 2 improved leaps and bounds in this area.

Lower temperatures on the Solo 2 do an excellent job at preserving flavor throughout the session while producing nice thin clouds.

Everything fits together nicely. The display is very bright, easy to read, and can be dimmed if needed. The buttons feel nice and very responsive. It’s just a quality made vaporizer from a quality company. The device is nicely machined and features a slimmed down version of the original Solo body. It feels extremely comfortable in the hands, exchanging hard lines of the old body for smooth curves. The size makes it easy to completely conceal in your hand, while the Solo 2’s glass stems make it very visible when you are using it. One of the new and improved features of the solo 2 is its light-up OLED screen that allows users to see the settings of their vape. From the screen menu variables such as the temperature, screen brightness the length of the auto shut-off timer can be changed. A nifty feature of the solo 2 is also its notification pings that let you know when the vape is turning on, off, and even once it has reached the desired temperature. And of course, the sound of these notifications pings can be adjusted from the menu or disabled altogether.

The main thing that will increase draw resistance is letting debris collect on the screen in the stem. Make sure and brush out the bowl immediately after a session when possible to keep down on cleaning and draw resistance. Cleaning the Solo Vaporizer– The biggest issue with the Arizer products, in general, is the screen in the stems. Materials will collect in the screen if you don’t brush out the chamber after every session. This will increase draw resistance and decrease overall enjoyment. The unit itself requires practically zero cleaning or maintenance. The integration of a digital display for precise temperature control and a higher maximum temperature means more users will be able to tailor their sessions to their preferred vapor quality.
