Hi everyone and sorry for the delay. I ended up finding two screws that allow the orange part of the unit to be opened, exposing the bottle. Unfortunately that bottle size doesn't seem to work with the replacements offered here; they're a different size. There is a little bit of liquid movement in the bottle itself but I'm not sure if the rest has solidified more than it should, 5 years past expiration.

Tyre inflation kits combine a bottle of puncture-sealing adhesive gel with a compressor. As I’ve already mentioned, the sealant won’t repair every puncture and it’s quite expensive. In addition, it’s not a permanent fix.
