About this deal

The Panasonic Lumix FZ330 records 4K video (3840x2160, 25p), as well as4K photo at 30fps producing 8-megapixel images. The three options when shooting 4K photo are: The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ330 handled chromatic aberrations excellently during the review. There's some slight purple fringing between areas of high contrast, but it's only noticeable on close inspection, as shown in the examples below.

The 330’s 3in articulated touch screen has a higher resolution than the LCD found on the FZ150 and 200 before it. The electronic viewfinder (EVF), which uses superb OLED technology, is also significantly bigger and of higher resolution than the 200, offering a more precise viewing and overall richer experience when framing subjects. The EVF of the 200 was better than the 150, but the 330’s version is a larger improvement still – and by a noticeable and very welcome margin. It really is great to have this kind of quality EVF on board! The headline specs may be the same but there are some welcome improvements to this updated model. The body is now splash- and dust-proof so there’s no need to stow it away at the first sight of a rain cloud or a sandy beach. The 3in articulated touchscreen has a higher resolution than before. The electronic viewfinder is significantly bigger and uses OLED technology for deeper contrast. For [4K] video output, use an HDMI cable that has the HDMI logo on it, and that is described as"4K compatible".

Actual recordable time is the time available for recording when repeating actions such as switching the power supply [ON] / [OFF], starting/stopping recording, zoom operation etc. Use a card with SD Speed Class with "UHS-I Speed Class 3 (U3)" when recording motion pictures with [MP4] in [4K] or [4K PHOTO]. There are 7 ISO settings available on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ330. Here are some 100% crops which show the noise levels for each ISO setting for both JPEG and RAW formats. JPEG The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ330 builds upon its popular predecessor, the FZ200, by principally adding a better viewfinder and LCD screen, touch-sensitive interface, faster autofocusing and start-up times, improved optical image stabilisation system, more robust weatherproof build, and of course, Panasonic's 4K video and still technology. Image quality remains the same thanks to the attractive combination of a sensible 12 megapixel sensor and the excellent f/2.8 25-600mm lens. While it may not offer quite enough to tempt FZ200 owners to upgrade, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ330 is a great choice for would-be bridge-camera buyers.

x 2160 pixels, 25p (4K: 100Mbps / MP4) (Sensor Output is 25fps) (AAC)/3840 x 2160 pixels, 24p (4K: 100Mbps / MP4) (Sensor Output is 24fps) (AAC)In terms of its specification and sheer versatility out in the real world, no other Bridge camera fitted with the same size sensor offers all that the FZ330 does for the price we pay; that’s pretty incredible considering that it’s now been retailing for over four years. Where Panasonic so often leads, it appears others simply must follow and I’m not sure this exceptionally innovative company receives as much credit as it deserves for shaping the world of technology in the way that it has and continues to do. Well, at least there goes my shout out for a great but often unsung manufacturer! From close-up wildlife through portrait to landscape photography, ‘Bridges’ cater for the whole bundle completely absent of any requirement to change a lens. And as far as these fixed lens Bridge options go, no other manufacturer than Panasonic offers 25mm to 600mm with F2.8 aperture available all the way through from minimum to maximum focal length.
