About this deal

Also ideal for homeschooling, remote working and home gyms or exercise rooms, this fan really hits the spot.

That’s an impressive performance, particularly at range, for such a small fan, although as this is a desktop model, it’s unlikely that you’ll be using it at such distance. As a highly efficient and quiet fan, we wanted to highlight the MeacoFan 360’s best features that helped secure the coveted award. Which?’s final verdict?, “This is a good Best Buy desk fan that’s worth buying, thanks to the pleasant breeze and quiet operation.” This fan is ideal for homes, offices and anywhere that a low-noise cooling fan can help to keep you and your family at a comfortable temperature. Power it from the mains or from a USB connection, giving you access to perfect cooling wherever you are.Perfect for smaller spaces, from bedrooms to home offices, the MeacoFan 360 is the latest addition to the award-winning MeacoFan range. Designed to be as quiet as possible, this fan emits just 15dBs of noise, which is only slightly louder than normal breathing. This makes it the ideal choice for people who want the power of great cooling without the annoyance of fan noise. It’s unlikely you’ll use it much at full power, but even at its lowest settings – where many fans are so weak as to be pointless – the Meaco still hits air speeds of just under 2m/sec, which makes for a nice breeze. Drop it into Natural mode and the feel of the varying speeds is surprisingly effective, giving you a nice, relaxing airflow with the occasional light gust of wind. Combine this with oscillation (60° vertical and 80° horizontal) and you can have that tropical holiday feeling in the comfort of your own bedroom. We know that one of the most annoying things for customers is a noisy fan. Whilst it might cool some of the room, it keeps you awake and disturbs your night – the last thing you need. So the MeacoFan range, including the 650, has been designed with peace and quiet in mind. And that operational silence is one of the reasons that we have won awards and plaudits for our designs. To turn the fan on I simply pressed the power icon once and the fan immediately started on its lowest setting. Unlike some digital displays – in particular the rather fiddly operation of the Duux Whisper Flex Ultimate Fan– the MeacoFan 1056 Air Circulator's touch screen is very responsive and very easy to operate.

Small enough to sit on a bedside table, side table or windowsill, the MeacoFan 360 is beautifully designed, unobtrusive and easy to use. Simple touch switches control the power levels and you can manually adjust the vertical angle, helping you to find the perfect cooling option. Powered by either mains or USB connection, you can take the fan anywhere inside or outside. On its lowest setting (that admittedly delivers substantially more airflow than the Duux Whisper Flex Ultimate Fan's lowest setting) the MeacoFan 1056 creates 20dB of noise. This increases to 60dB on its highest and most powerful speed setting. However, it's also the type of noise that can affect how distracting a fan is to run. Whilst the MeacoFan is just audible on its lower settings, there is no hint of any droning noise, and even on its highest settings the acoustics are of gushing air, rather than the mechanical headache-inducing drone most of us probably associate with fan noise. Secondly, as mentioned, when not selected the digital display icons are very faint which can make them hard to read. Again, this is much clearer if you opt to use the remote control as here the icons are printed and so much easier to read. If you need more power, you’ve still got it at your disposal. At the top speed we measured airflow at 2.7m/sec, with a noise level of just 42dB. You’ve got a choice of touch-sensitive controls on the fan itself and a slightly cheap-feeling remote, while the efficient DC motor keeps power consumption to between 2W and 8.1W. While not as powerful as the Dimplex 360 or MeacoFan 360, this is the fan to go for if you prize your peace and quiet above all else. This is Meaco’s largest and most powerful fan, only with a pedestal stand and a different control layout. The 1056AC has been the recipient of numerous awards, and it’s not hard to work out why. Thanks to some clever engineering and a DC motor, it’s impressively powerful yet simultaneously energy-efficient and quiet. The 1056P is essentially the same fan on a pedestal.

The final impressive setting is the ECO mode. When this is turned on the fan utilises its ability to detect the ambient room temperature, and automatically changes the fan speed in response. So at under 23°c it will run on speed setting 2, once the mercury rises to 23-35°c it auto-switches up to setting 4, all the way up to over 33°c when it will run on setting 12. A great way to maintain your cool, and save energy usage, without constantly faffing with settings. Verdict Like all great products, the 1056 is designed to be useful and beautiful. Complete with its faux-leather carry handle, this is the perfect fan for quietly, reliably keeping your home cool and comfortable. We use DC technology to power our fans because we believe it gives you the best performance and helps your fan to last longer. We’ve used this technology across a number of our products because it delivers: The good news with the huge number of fan speed modes is that you can balance airflow and speed nicely, easily finding the best setting that makes it easy for you to sleep. Should you buy the MeacoFan 360? So far I was incredibly impressed by the MeacoFan 1056 Air Circulator, but there's still more to explore in its functionality.

Which? has commended the quietness of the fan, making it ideal for your bedroom, home office, or any space where you’re looking for peace and quiet. This handy quiet fan features an ECO mode for auto-cooling, a superior DC technology fan, and a 80-degree swing from left to right.” Country Living If you use the remote, then you also have the additional option to turn off the illuminated display on the base via the Light button, which is perfect for nighttime use if you want to run the fan in a bedroom.Next, I measured how loud the fan was. On the slowest speed setting, I measured the fan at a very low 45.5dB at 15cm and 38.7dB at 1.5m. On maximum speed, I measured the fan at 61.6dB at 15cm and 50.1dB at 1.5m. UK based Meaco is best known for its range of excellent dehumidifiers. Well here’s the result of its first attempt at making a bog-standard fan – and it’s bloody brilliant. The bods at Meaco have clearly thought this one through and created what is arguably the greatest fan ever invented at a price that is ridiculously cheap.” T3 Want more, the MeacoFanoff-timer function means you can set the fan to turn off after a selected number of hours to ensure you don’t wake up feeling too cold or don’t leave the fan running for longer than you need to. No extra sounds, bleeps, buttons, or gizmos – just a great-looking, quiet and cooling fan. Scottish Highlands & Islands postcodes: AB, FK, HS, IV, KA, KW, PA, PH, ZE, LL58-LL78, IM, TR, PO30-41Whilst it's not quite as whisper-quiet as the quietest fan I've tested – that accolade goes to the Duux Whisper Flex Ultimate Fan which on its lowest setting starts at just 13dB of noise and increases to 50dB on its highest setting – the MeacoFan 1056 Air Circulator is still very quiet compared to most fans on the market. Despite all this power the fan is near silent yet manages to offer near-360-degrees of air circulation, even when placed out of the way against a wall. By using both the vertical and horizontal oscillation you find that air is pushed off all the walls and even the ceiling so the entire room feels refreshed … somehow this beautiful beast also manages to remain cheap to run making it one of the best room-cooling options out there right now, especially at that affordable-for-what-you-get price." Ideal Home We’ve also added functionality that makes using your fan as easy as possible. This includes a remote control to operate the fan from across the room, or from bed if the fan is in your bedroom. There’s a timer switch so that you can ask the fan to turn itself off during the night, making sure you don’t wake up cold, and there’s a clever ECO mode, which sets the fan to regulate itself depending on the room temperature.
