About this deal

According to Hasbro copy writer Forest Lee, the reference to Straxus was included in Comic-Con 2008 Nemesis Prime's bio entirely to make David Willis happy. PREMIUM DESIGN: Featuring die cast parts, high deco op count, and over 50 points of articulation, this Nemesis Prime figure was inspired by the Optimus Prime CAD files from Transformers: Bumblebee

Nemesis Prime is a fantastic example of how to do an exclusive. I think I would have been happy with just a Nemesis Prime deco and one new head. But two new heads and a few new accessories to boot? A reference to his "Arms Micron" version? An "Armada" reference too?! There's a lot of love in this exclusive and I highly recommend it! The evil clone of Optimus Prime, Nemesis Pax may possess the same strength and intelligence as the Autobot leader, but is vile and without remorse. Fueled by the destructive energy of the Dark Martrix of Leadership, Nemesis Pax becomes Nemesis Prime, driven to eliminate all in his path. Toxitron was first shown (without photography) at BotCon 2005's "TF Rarities" panel by Rik Alvarez, with people describing it as "amazingly ugly" and "f***ing awesome". Later, it was on display (photography allowed) at the "Things you've never seen before (and will never get)" booth at the Hasbro tour at BotCon 2007. Nemesis Prime has been introduced to many Transformers continuities, from the Unicron Trilogy to Transformers Prime animation and the Transformers: The Last Knight film. This is the character's first appearance as part of any Prime Day Deal, Prime Day Special, or Prime Day toy offering. This Micro-Changer assortment was the last one to appear at Target, with later waves showing up only at Toys"R"Us or drug/discount stores.

Nemesis Prime is a neat concept that's never really been done well, except for two instances; 1.) RID Scourge, who is directly a clone, and 2.) Nova Prime after being corrupted by the Dead Universe.

Nemesis Prime was released as a TakaraTomy Mall exclusive in Japan. He was also sold online through EB Games and Zing in Australia.

Modeled after the Transformers live action movies, Movie Masterpiece authentic figures feature film-inspired details and accessories, ideal for displaying on collectors’ shelves. This mold was also used to make fellow Walmart exclusive Velocitron Speedia 500 Collection Robots in Disguise 2000 Universe Scourge. He came with his Mini-Con partner Run-Over, who can also become a handgun Nemesis Prime (or any toy with 5 mm post-compatible points) can hold.

Nemesis Prime was the product of a mad plan by Straxus, who put a lowly, unknown warrior through an excruciating rebuilding process, tortuously reforging him into the very image of Optimus Prime. Through forcible data uploads and brainwashing, the Decepticon was imbued with memories and skills culled from many sources, giving him much of Optimus Prime's knowledge and combat algorithms. This, however, cost him not just his sense of identity, but also any framework with which to process this knowledge. His creator having since perished, Nemesis Prime became a threat to all, skulking in the dark parts of Cybertron and targeting both Autobots and Decepticons in his murderous insanity. [3] Toys [ ] Alternators [ ] He was initially sold exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con 2006 and for a limited time at Hasbro Toy Shop, selling out roughly an hour after its 2pm sales debut. Prior to that, he was released in large quantities at regular retail in various Asian countries, becoming a shelfwarmer there, ironically. Maybe I'm off the mark here, but I personally am getting pretty tired of every Optimus Prime figure getting the "nemesis" repaint right away as the first reuse. I mean, I know that's been the established pattern for a while now… but I would've definitely jumped on this immediately if it had been SG Optimus first. Even something like a Burning Guts version… idk. I just feel like Nemesis colors are losing their appeal. In this one particular case, I may have even preferred a white core Magnus version first instead of the NP version. Doctor Arkeville spent years personally constructing Nemesis Prime piece by stolen piece, hiding his handiwork from both Concurrence agents and the Decepticons. Designed to be the ultimate military commander, he had arguably the mightiest Binaltech Transformer body ever constructed, but it remained without a life-force. Dr. Arkeville planned to acquire one by tapping into an amazingly powerful extra-spatial source that the Autobot Translink Project had uncovered. [1] Story of BinaltechAUTHENTIC TAKARA TOMY DESIGN: This Transformers Masterpiece Movie Nemesis Prime premium adult collectible features authentic Takara Tomy design and deco from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Nemesis Prime was present at a meeting of the Convoy after the turmoil caused by the Waruder invasion of Axiom Nexus. Cybertron's Most Wanted Expected availability date may be subject to change, items may arrive earlier or later than anticipated without notice. Unlike other Power of the Primes figures, Nemesis Prime does not include a collector card featuring a Prime Master power description.
