No. Once the Leather Colourant has dried, it is completely colourfast. This is then sealed in with our Leather Finish which gives further colourfastness. When introducing colour accents to lighter greys, think about the undertones of the pairing first and then the contrast you wish to achieve. Ammonite a soft stony grey will team beautifully with blues and greens such as Inchyra Blue or Hague Blue as both have the gentle undertones of nature, such as the delicate brown note found in Ammonite and the green in Inchyra Blue.’ The colour holds and will not fade, flake, or peel, even after years of use. Not only are the colourants very hard wearing, but they also feel very soft and delicate. We add controlled amounts of softening agents into the mixture to give it a lovely smooth and soft texture. This also means it will not dry out over the years. The Leather Colourants are designed for restoring the colour and changing the colour of all leather items. The reason we recommend this colourant range over any other is the high rub fastness and scuff resistance characteristics: you will struggle to scuff or scratch them!

Most importantly is their ability to resist scuffs and scratches. The Leather Colourants are extremely hard wearing and will not scratch unless very heavily forced. Applications It is also safe to use on vinyl and faux leather. Our Leather Colourants have been designed for use on leather so when colouring vinyl or faux leather, we recommend using our Adhesion Promotor to grant better adhesion.
