About this deal

Use icing to attach white chocolate buttons to the centre of each wheel. Once set, cut 8 x lengths strawberry pencil to fit the length of each train compartment and attach to the chocolate buttons, along the wheels. For instance, there are gingerbread trains that are ideal to make and display on Christmas. They make great ornaments for your fireplace, tables, and shelves. You have just made a new batch of gingerbread fresh from the oven. Now, the next steps in creating your gingerbread house is the design. I should mention here that we bought all of these kits without reading the boxes first - and this was the first time we came to regret it. We realised we'd need an egg to make the icing and a piping bag. We had the first, not the latter - but we decided to give it a go anyway.

To add the sides, squeeze icing on the lower edge of one side piece and side edge of the front panel. Align pieces at a right angle, making sure they are as tight as possible. Repeat with the other side. First things first, hit play on your favorite holiday playlist and whip up a cup of hot chocolate. Here are our favorite cocoa recipes for the holidays! Step 2: Combine Ingredients

Get into the holiday with this gingerbread house template and step-by-step guide!

There are no rules here—just have fun! Make memories by hosting a decorating party for friends and family. Here are some decorating ideas for inspiration: Sandwich together 3 x log carriage, making sure you only ice the middle of the biscuits or the icing will spill out over the edges. Leave to set then attach 6 x wheels as before.

This gingerbread kit was 50p cheaper than Tesco's, but they looked near-identical inside. The decorations on the box looked a bit more realistic, but the pieces were the same right down to the windows and doors. The only difference was these multi-coloured balls had sprinkles mixed in. Transfer ¼ of the icing to a piping bag fitted with a small round tip. This will be the icing to decorate the outside of the train. Bake for 24-28 minutes, until the shapes are stiff to the touch. Let the shapes cool completely, about 45 minutes.Another way to customize your crochet train toy pattern is to add some cool details. For example, you can embroider the train’s name on the side or add some buttons or beads for the wheels. The Lidl kit took us about 45 minutes from start to finish, but overall, we were really pleased with the finished result. I actually felt a bit guilty eating it. So which was best? One of the best things about crochet train toy patterns is how easily they can be customized to suit your own style and preferences.
