About this deal

With this being said, I'm sure for long-time fans of the series, this book is full of nostalgic content and it will be even more wonderful for them to read. A copy of the book was provided for review purposes - thank you! Receiving a copy does not guarantee a positive review and therefore does not affect the opinion or content of the review. Maybe I would've liked this more if it had come out a few years ago? I'm trying to figure out why I was so attached to the earlier books, and while part of it is definitely the fact that my tastes changed with age, I think that the main part is that now there are zero stakes and not much in the way of character development. No. I’m not in any trouble, but…” Keirran hesitated, a slight furrow creasing his brow. “Something strange is happening in the Between,” he admitted. “There have been…incidents, with the Forgotten. Violent incidents, which is not like them at all. And the Between itself is… It doesn’t feel right, if that makes any sense.” He sighed, sounding frustrated and, for a moment, looking years younger. “I don’t know what’s going on, and that worries me,” he muttered. “I was hoping Mom or someone from the Iron Court would be able to help. I certainly can’t bring my concerns to Summer or Winter.”

Ballpeen and Springtrap exploded into a chorus of loud warning barks. I was going to say something, but my voice was drowned out in the cacophony of doggy fury. Generally, I find a dagger is a much better alternative to stopping someone's heart than a surprise party. The vendors at the various booths came in every shape and size as well. A green, pointy-eared goblin stood beside a table selling dice sets of carved bone. A few tents down, a Summer gentry brushed her collection of cloaks, all made of leaves, feathers, or spiderwebs. The smell of grilled meat filled the air, coming from a spit with an entire boar spinning slowly over the flames, a lanky gray troll turning the handle. Its beady red eyes caught sight of me and widened, and its sinewy body straightened in alarm. Now he's finally achieved his goals to be at Meghan's side in the Iron Realm, but he also got to start a family (which we kinda/sorta see in The Iron Fey: Call of the Forgotten), except that also comes with everything that comes with parenthood (if you count your kid being prophesized as the destroyer or champion of the faery world typical parental worries).

In August 2019, the Iron Ravens were revealed as a Chapter created by Paul Norton, a Games Workshop 'Eavy Metal team painter, that was showcased in a Warhammer Community article. The Iron Ravens were included as a canon Chapter in the Codex: Space Marines (8th Edition, Revised Codex). Thank you so much to the publisher, Inkyard Press, for providing me with a copy to read and and review. Een pluizige cyperse kat slenterde naar voren, zwaaiend met een uitzonderlijk volle pluimstaart. Hij nam ons allemaal met een verveelde blik in zijn gouden ogen op.” You can find anything in the goblin market. Need a potion that will make someone fall in love with you? There’s a vendor on every corner that will sell you one. Want to buy a lamp with a genie inside that will grant you three wishes? The goblin market has you covered; turns out genies aren’t quite as rare as everyone thinks. The gnome gave a disapproving sniff. “In a tent on the far edge of the market,” she replied, stabbing a finger in that direction. “Beneath the old Ferris wheel. At least it has the good sense to keep away from the rest of us.” She eyed me in a critical manner. “I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that you would want to associate with those abominations.”

Princeling,” I greeted as I sauntered up. “Fancy meeting you here. Aren’t you supposed to be in the Between ruling a court or something? Are the Forgotten driving you crazy, or did you just get bored?” Now we have The Iron Fey: Evenfall. And after two books, I gotta say, I’m not loving it. Maybe it’s because I’m older now, maybe at this point, I’ve read way too many YA novels. Whatever the reason, this series has lost its charm. I grinned and stepped up to the table, putting my fingers to my lips. “Shh, Marla. Don’t say my name too loudly. I’m incognito tonight.”

On the whole, though, I thought it was great to be able to visit Kagawa’s faery world again, and seeing the familiar characters from the earlier series was a lot of fun. I think you could read this book even if you aren’t familiar with the Iron Fey series– most of the connections to things from those books are explained, so it doesn’t require knowing or remembering a lot. Naja das stimmt nicht so ganz. Ich wurde tatsächlich dazu gedrängt, diese Serie zu lesen, weil es die Lieblingsserie einer Freundin war. Keirran frowned. “I’ve always been able to get the gremlins to listen to me, even before I became the Forgotten King,” he replied. “There’s no shortage of them in the mortal world, and they’ve always obeyed me before. At least one of them should have made it.”

It was of the Iron Realm,” the gnome muttered, wrinkling her nose. “It belongs to the Iron faery that set up shop in the goblin market. Horrible creature. They shouldn’t be allowed.” The Forgotten King scrubbed a hand over his hair in an eerily familiar way. He was so much like a mini Ash it almost hurt. “I don’t know if I’m being paranoid,” he said. “It’s my realm, I should be able to take care of this myself. I don’t want to bother the monarchs of the other courts if it’s not important. But…” His eyes narrowed. “I guess you should know the real reason I came. The Forgotten aren’t acting normal, and…there is this thing out there, stalking them through the Between.” It happened because I was far too useful to keep away for long, and Oberon knew it. And while it was comforting, in its own twisted way, that the Summer King would never truly get rid of me, there were times when I wished I could be free, even if that would leave me homeless.

I stepped forward. “Since when do you have to rely on the goblin market to send messages to the Iron Realm, kid?” I asked loudly. “Did something happen that we don’t know about? Or are you in trouble again? Or both?” I shrugged. “Both is always an option, I’ve learned.” But you can't have an Iron Fey book without our ✨favourite✨ cait sith-- Grimalkin. He was as 'helpful' as always and the star of the show other than Ash ofc. His "Because I am a cat" responses were as infuriating hilarious as always. You could give me a whole series on Grimalkin and I'll read it.😹 There’s too much mention of kissing when they really mean sex. Teenagers. Have. Sex. They likely talk about it more than we do because hormones. So stop clutching your pearls and just say the word sex. I’m not asking for graphic erotica, but this is just prudish.Four brand-new boxes stuffed with Space Marines are coming to a Warhammer store near you very soon, featuring the Iron Hands, Salamanders, White Scars, and Ultramarines. Let’s have a look at what’s inside. Iron Hands: March of Iron Strike Force I received an ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.**
