About this deal

With the larger battery, the Ozmo 950 has three levels of suction: Normal, Max and Max Plus. The Ozmo 920 has just Normal and Max. The Ozmo 950 has a bigger internal battery, and can run up to 200 minutes on one charge. The Ozmo 920 runs for 110 minutes. If you are looking for a robot vacuum that can clean tough stains from your floor, this product might not be at the top of your list.

Unlike the Deebot OZMO T8 AIVI and the T8+, the Deebot OZMO 950 comes with a special "attachment for hair". With the proliferation of smart home technology, you want a robot vacuum that you can connect with other devices. Here, I would recommend all described Deebots in this article if you want Smart connectivity. They come with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for Smartphone operation and support Alexa and other integrations. In addition, X1 Family models support the YIKO voice assistant. However, you will use the Ecovacs Home mobile app to control your vacuum-mopping robot in 99.9% of the cases. It’s available for Android and iOS. The mobile phone app has almost identical functions for all 3 models. Only a few features slightly differ (depending on the model). Ecovacs Deebot OZMO 950 vs T8 AIVI vs T8: Functionality of the App

Large Battery Capacity allows for 110 minutes of uninterrupted runtime in one session, after which the robot will automatically charge and resume cleaning. First, the robotic vacuum cleaners have to show what they’ve got in our "suction arena". Here they have to remove different kinds of dirt on different floor types. The Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo 920 is an efficient robot vacuum and mop, but it comes at a slightly expensive price. However, its price can be forgivable because of its high-end features and outstanding performance. We have tested numerous robot vacuum models from many different manufacturers. The robots from Ecovacs earned their place among the " best robot vacuums for carpets". Ecovacs Deebot OZMO 950 on a low pile carpet I have just specifically re-cleaned the entire house to recreate a new, clean plan - even with paper on mirrors and windows and doors to stop it scanning the outside and "mirror" rooms! It took almost seven hours including one charging cycle and, disappointingly it decided not to complete the job properly.

The side brushes of the Ecovacs models (OZMO 950, T8 AIVI and T8 Plus) are pretty long compared to other models. This robot vacuum itself is great BUT the biggest problem I have with the app - it is the repeated problem of losing or reorganising the map of the house. Days and weeks go by without a problem then, for no apparent reason, it loses the map of the house - it just blows it away and creates something else. This is intensely frustrating, it should simply reload from the server (the cloud). It is imperative to note that ILIFE, also a Chinese brand, was a massive competition for this growing brand, so diversifying the market was a brilliant idea from ECOVACS. Here again, it’s hard to call a winner, but of course, the extras like AIVI Technology, and the advanced models, are the ultimate winners. 5. Smart connectivity It includes spare parts such as HEPA filters, side brushes, disposable wipes etc. Delivery scope of the Ecovacs Deebot OZMO 950 Carpet Detection Technology allows it to automatically increase suction power on carpets when vacuuming and avoid carpets when mopping without human interaction. Here, the war is waged between the popular models of the two brands, Deebot vs. Roomba. iRobot is still ahead of ECOVACS when you factor in the brand trust, and most importantly, vacuuming performance and reliability.

Auto Cleaning - is a simple "clean what you can get to" mode. The bot starts at the preset day/time and cleans all it can reach, if continuous mode it enabled it will return to recharge and resume if necessary. When it works it is a great unit. Problem is, it does not work functionally, effectively and CONSISTENTLY to give it any more than one star. I do have to add that there needs to be a better way of editing maps than the currently provided "re-clean the whole house".

Here, the cleaning results’ differences were also very similar with all three models (Deebot OZMO 950 vs T8 AIVI vs T8). Regarding aesthetics, it mostly depends on your taste, but the X1 Family looks more appealing to me with Jakob Jensen’s design. 2. Cleaning performance The main difference to the Ecovacs Deebot OZMO T8 AIVI: The T8 recognises obstacles, but it doesn’t know what the object is. This robot vacuum can navigate around your home thoroughly (which leads to an accurate map), thanks to its smart laser navigation (Smart Navi 3.0). It can go around obstacles well, and can also navigate through chair legs. The map can be seen and customised in the app, which provides a lot of additional features that will enable the user to have more control over the robot vacuum. You can also set up the water intensity individually for each room. This way, the robot vacuum will mop the tiles in the bathroom with the highest water output and the sensitive laminate floor in the living room with a lower water intensity.

Now, we are almost coming to the end of this Deebot comparison review. But just before we finalize, let’s briefly discuss how to shop for the best Deebot robot vacuum. With the Deebot OZMO T8 model, you can buy the T8 with the self-emptying dustbin as a bundle -> "Deebot OZMO T8+". Here, I want to caution you that in as much as a Deebot model may have been recommended for carpets, ascertain the type of carpet. Most vacuum cleaners will do a good job on light pile carpets, but when it gets to the dense carpet, only the best pass the test. Here, our best choice for carpets is X1 Family. Returning to the bot itself, I noticed that it was significantly quieter than the Samsung - the sound was also far less harsh. The laser mapping ensured that the brushes went right up to the edge of the skirting boards and left no strip of debris around the edges. I also noticed that the battery life in this unit seemed longer, the Samsung lasted about 90 minutes, whereas the DEEBOT lasted a few minutes short of two hours with standard suction and the main brush fitted. It is actually quite entertaining to watch the bot navigate a dining table and chairs, as it whirls round each leg in turn, trying alternative routes to get to all the voids created between them and squeezing through gaps only slightly wider than itself. Hmm, new game... bot obstacle course racing!
