Say no more. There should be some spectacular rainforest art on the way!

Are you looking for more marvellous mazes?

This resource would make for a wonderful mindfulness activity, as colouring in has been shown to help reduce feelings of stress and anxiety, all while helping children to concentrate at the same time! When children colour in, they will be strengthening their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

You may wish to encourage children to use different materials to make their colouring experience even more engaging! They could try using dabber pens or even coloured pom pom balls to colour the image and reveal the scene. Give it a try! Once they're complete, they're ready to hang on the fridge for passers by to go 'ooh and ahh'. Have you ever seen a labyrinth? Now that is a maze! Mazes are a series of tunnels, corridors, or lanes that lead to an end, with a bunch of dead-ends and twists in-between. Now, our mazes are not quite so complicated as a labyrinth and do not have quite so many ever-changing twists and turns, which makes them perfect to leave the kids alone with for half an hour.Personalise your child's colouring time with our collection of name mindfulness colouring sheets like this Aria Mindfulness Name Colouring Activity, or our Hudson Mindfulness Name Colouring Activity. Fun facts about the jungle for kids

Concentration - colouring provides an enjoyable activity that also improves a child’s concentration levels. This will translate into their other lessons too! For more activities on leaves, take a look at this British Trees Identification Photo Sheet. Children can compare the photos to the Jungle Leaf Templates. This activity sheet is perfect for using on nature walks as a way of getting children used to paying attention to their environment and understanding what they see. Puzzles and mazes also help to improve memory cognition and visual-spatial reasoning, and can often be a relaxing mindfulness activity they can use to calm down if they're feeling a little red. You could also learn even more about the tropical habitat by using our What Plants Grow in the Rainforest Display Posters! You can space out your child’s day with one of these colouring templates. There are four templates included, so you could space them out across the week too. This will give your child something to really look forward to. By the end of the week they will have a beautiful looking set of leaves! The benefits of colouring for children That depends on where in the world the jungle is! In South America you can find rubbers trees, balsa trees, aҫaí palms and many trees belonging to the Brazil nut and nutmeg families. For more leaf templates, take a look at this set of Rainforest Leaves Display Cut Outs - they’re great for comparison with the Jungle Leaf Templates and can be used for comparing the different features and characteristics. If you’re making a display it would be interesting to decorate one corner with rainforest leaves and another with jungle leaves as a way of showing the floral diversity around the world. Featuring a variety of rainforest animals - such as snakes and leopards - for children to colour in, this resource is perfect to use to support your teaching on the rainforest and rainforest animals. You could even use this versatile resource to begin a class discussion at the beginning of teaching this topic - can children name any of the animals in the picture? What do they already know about the rainforest? Colouring is a bit like magic. It has the uncanny ability to keep children quiet, spark their imaginations, and improve their focus and concentration.

Jungles aren’t just for animals. There are over 50 million people around the world who live in jungles.
