The Ex-Wife doubles Budapest for London in Paramount+ drama". www.theknowledgeonline.com. The Knowledge . Retrieved 14 November 2022. What would you do if your soon to be husband's ex wife tells you he can't be trusted and not to marry him? Well, you chose love and marry him of course. Natasha’s life seems perfect, I said “seems” because she has everything, a handsome husband who’s rich, a beautiful home and a lovely baby girl. But she can’t enjoy all of them because of her husband’s ex-wife, Jen. She is everywhere, Jen is the wife that her husband’s family like and she is in all their family gathering, always in touch with the husband. It’s like Jen still is his wife, not Natasha. One day when Natasha comes home he couldn’t find her daughter and her husband. She searches everywhere and asks everyone but no one knows anything. And still, there is someone who has to ask, Jen. Can she trust Jen? Does Jen know anything at all? And if she doesn’t so what’s happened to the husband and the baby girl? Although, I did guess one of the plot twists, the others were a pleasant surprise. Not all of the characters are likable in this book which worked perfectly for the plot. As I learned more and more about the secrets, lies and motivations of some of the characters, things did begin to make more sense. New thriller The Ex-Wife is the latest drama to be aired on Channel 5. The series, which is based on the bestselling novel by Jess Ryder, gets its terrestrial release after previously dropping on Paramount+ last year.

So this was the sort of thing that I thought would be a good watch with my wife. We often struggle to find something that fits both our tastes but in the trailers it all seemed to be just the thing.... This novel consists of 35 chapters. The chapters are medium in length so possible to read 'just one more chapter' before bed...OK, I know yeah right, but still just in case! The ending had a believable and interesting twist. There is something you will wonder about throughout the story and then it plays out later on. I did have a couple of questions about the end, but nothing that took away from the story. Newly married Natasha has the perfect house, a loving husband and a beautiful little girl called Emily. She’d have it all if it wasn’t for Jen, her husband’s ex-wife who just won’t leave them alone … There are trigger warnings in here including child abuse, spousal abuse, murder and the cutting off and imprisonment of a spouse and young daughter in the den of the devil. Some of the scenes are graphic and cause a gut wrenching cringe reaction. The story itself flies along. This book was well-written with some twists and turns along the way. This was an interesting and fast paced read.

Kudos to Jess Ryder for writing this gripping psychological thriller that I just couldn't put down! Highly Recommend When it comes to parental rights, money alone doesn't mean you will get to keep the kids. Money doesn't mean you can just take away someone else's biological child, the legal system just doesn't work like that. It's also really difficult to make the case that someone is an unfit parent, bar substance abuse or violence to the child then access would likely be allowed. With the FBI needing her to get evidence of his involvement in the missing children and her own daughters safety to consider Elena is going to need her wits about her. Thank you to Bookouture Audio and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.The novel has interesting twists and I like the ending. So, taking into account the story's virtues and faults, I'd say it's an average psychological thriller. This is only the third book that I have listened 100% on Audiobook. If I listen to a book on audiobook I usually also read the physical book between but for the second time I listened to the whole book and I was impressed! I must say a HUGE congratulations to the narrator Stephanie Cannon who did a great job bringing this story to life. I would listen to it in the car and while walking at any opportunity and Amalia did a fantastic job on both male and female characters voices!!! I'm not only looking forward to reading more books by Jenna but also to listening to more books narrated by Stephanie! Thanks to Netgalley, the author (Jess Ryder) and the publisher (Bookouture) for a copy of the book.

As great as it would be to start a relationship with someone who's a total clean slate, you're likely going to date someone who already has some kind of romantic history. Although the healthiest option is to let the past stay in the past, sometimes people will enter into a new relationships without being completely over an ex. So, how do you know if your partner still isn't over their ex? According to experts, there are some behaviors you may want to pay attention to. Jess has a gift with plot structures and twists. I was confused as to what was going on for about the first 30% of the book, but by 40% the book was just mind-blowing twist layered upon lies layered upon story developments. I was captivated! I was actually reading Jess’s blog and she has a fascinating piece about writing twists in psychological thrillers. Elana’s character just didn’t ring true. She was portrayed as an innocent young mother who was widowed at a young age. All she has in life was her daughter. Yet when she started to realize the danger she was in she stayed and put her daughter in grave danger. Hmmm… With the FBI nowhere to be found (not even mentioned for the most part) Elena takes on her sadistic husband alone. Didn’t really add up for me.🤷🏻‍♀️ The story soon reaches the point where the reader is put in the position where we're hesitant to trust anyone, with each chapter unravelling another secret and another lie that had me questioning my previous assumptions. Very cleverly plotted, I just had to discover where exactly the story was headed, bingeing on all the juicy and mind blowing plot twists the author masterfully prepared, finishing off with a wow ending that had my ravenous appetite for domestic psychological dramas thoroughly and absolutely satiated! This was my first read by Jenna Kernan and I'll definitely be looking into reading more of her work.

Wow! This is how to write a domestic thriller. You know who the bad guy is, but you are on the edge of your seat waiting to see what they will do and how it will all play out. I actually had to put it down at one point to break the tension because I was having anxiety for the MC.
