About this deal

Why is dark wood popular, what types are there and how can I use it? Why choose dark wood for your next project? Each species has its own unique characteristics, including grain patterns, texture, and durability. With the tide turned against the Dead, Peter and the remaining community on Wranglestone prepare to leave for town, where the comforts of the world before await them. Could this be the home that finally brings both safety and unity for all? Cooper isn't so sure. He harbours feelings from that terrible night on the lake and worse, a secret... codename, Timberdark. With Cooper's new found connection to the Dead, Peter's suspicions about what he might do next grow. Faced with losing the boy he loves, Peter must uncover the truth about the mysterious Timberdark before their future together and the world around them is placed in danger.

And that's the problem I had with this story, the miscommunication trope is one of my least favourites, and I felt that had they just sat down and actually talked about their feelings, this tension could have been solved in under an hour, instead of me having to sit through the teeth clenchingly awkward scene of Peter following Cooper into the woods and watching him masturbate. There's so much more to this book than relationship trauma though. There's a really exciting storyline once they reach the town that left me wondering what just about everybody is up to, with plots and mysteries and secrets that are thrilling and captivating. It really left me guessing about what was really going on, and once truths are revealed it's frantic with action.Sapele wood is a type of hardwood native to tropical Africa, primarily found in countries such as Nigeria, Cameroon, and Ghana. It is a popular choice among woodworkers and furniture makers due to its beautiful appearance and excellent working properties. Exposure to UV breaks down the lignin into simple sugars. These sugars act as a food source for moulds, which can be dark and blotchy in appearance. But in situations where they are controlled, such as in dry or coastal climates, they don’t develop fully so turn the timber a silver-grey. Bear in mind, too, that almost any light-coloured timber species (like Cedar, Ash or Oak) can be stained to look darker with several coats of stain or paint, in accordance with the product manufacturer’s instructions. Make sure to test your stain on a small part first, of course. Prevent sapstain/bluestain moulds by using a properly formulated finish like Aussie Clear or Aussie Coat, that contains an ingredient to prevent it’s growth.

First off, timber cladding is sustainable," begins Matt Loader co-founder and director of Loader Monteith Architects. "It can be sourced locally, can have low embodied energy and timber also stores carbon in it. It's reasonably easy to install and it weathers well in harsh climates — the prevalence of its use in Scandinavia is evidence of this.Mahogany is a type of hardwood tree that is native to tropical regions of the Americas, particularly in Central and South America. These woods originate from trees belonging to the Dalbergia genus and are found in tropical regions across South America, Africa, and Asia. Wood rot will also change the colour of timber, especially brown rot. As the name suggests, brown rot is brown in colour The color of teakwood tends to darken over time with exposure to sunlight and air, giving it a rich patina. Its color can be paired with a variety of other materials, such as stone and metal, to create a striking visual contrast.
