About this deal

You’re really strapped for cash: If you don’t have to have the best and are on a tight budget, give this one a skip. The claw-style grip will easily fit onto most laptop screens and PC monitors, but if you prefer keeping your display clear then you can also fix the mounting clip onto traditional tripods. You won't get a tripod included with the box, but if you already have one laying around then it's a great way to get creative with your camera angles if you're broadcasting in a messy room. Pre-pandemic, webcams were mostly an afterthought — built into your laptop's bezel as a convenience, nothing more. They weren't good, but we didn't use them enough to care. But since the pandemic made remote working the norm, the market for external webcams has exploded.

Not that Razer's webcams need any with noise handling anyway, as they've always done so well on that front, and the Kiyo Pro Ultra does it even better. That's not all. On test, its autofocus proved not just snappy but butter-smooth as well, and the fact that the Razer Synapse gives you manual control over focusing (as well as exposures, digital zooming and panning, and more) gives you a level of customizations you'll be hard-pressed to get with most other webcams. The light detection is fantastic, helping to keep the recording subject in focus with minimal noise in low light environments, and while the built-in microphones leave something to be desired, your speech is still understandable and no webcam really has amazing audio capabilities and we always suggest using either a headset mic or dedicated XLR or USB microphone. The C930e has the same sensor as the C920s Pro, but it has an upgraded lens with a wider field of view — 90 degrees versus the C920s Pro’s 78 degrees. This wider field of view is useful not only because it allows you to display an unnecessary amount of your home office, but also because it adds 4x digital zoom (the C920s Pro also offers digital zoom through Logitech’s Logi Capture software). Digital zoom is useful on a webcam because zooming in gives you some control over camera positioning (tilt/pan), which is handy if your webcam isn’t ideally positioned. You need a wide field of view: The Logitech C920 is set to a 78-degree FOV, so you can't get any wide room shots

Since more communication is happening online these days, it’s crucial to have your zoom calls with friends and video conferencing meetings that are crystal clear. And, that means you need to invest in one of the best webcams for your computer setup. It’s true that most laptops or all-in-one computers already come with a webcam installed but having a dedicated one will offer more features and higher resolutions. Our list is heavy on big brand names such as Logitech for good reason. Reputable brands have been tested across many different devices to make sure that the products are compatible with different graphics software. This is why you may see different quality if you use the same camera on a desktop and a laptop - the webcam hardware communicates differently with different devices. We found its picture quality to be incredibly high for a webcam. Its light detection is especially good while its dynamic range wide and noise handling to be excellent, which makes this particularly great if you are streaming in low light. You can choose between three different fields of view for different scenes in your Livestream as well, and select either a smooth 1080p 60FPS option for gameplay or a high-res 'HDR' mode for improved video quality during Zoom sessions. Logitech’s G Hub is no-nonsense and straightforward to use, allowing you to adjust basic settings such as digital zoom, focus, exposure, brightness, contrast, sharpness, white balance and saturation. Logitech C920 webcam review: Design You need a cheap webcam: This is an expensive webcam and there are certainly cheaper products on the market for anyone who can't stretch their budget. The Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 is an outstanding replacement for your laptop's integrated webcam. It takes sharp photos and videos, which makes it ideal for teleconferencing and streaming. It's easy to set up on an external monitor or laptop screen, and it works well with Logitech's dedicated, albeit buggy, software.

However, if you’re looking to use this particular webcam as part of a streaming setup, you might want to consider investing in either a standalone microphone or a gaming headset. The Logitech C920’s dual audio sensors are not very good, and I’ve personally found that in most cases, even using a laptop’s built-in microphone yielded better results. AnkerWork B600 Video Bar: This webcam has strong visual fidelity and a number of conference-call friendly features like a speaker and a built-in light bar with touch controls, but its price makes it a poor option for anyone who doesn't need those extras.

As a result, the Facecam is beautifully optimized for the streaming community, with some of the best software we've ever seen on a webcam to boot. You need one for meetings and personal video calls: This is a pro-level tool whose prowess and features will only be maximized by pro users. If you’re just a casual user, this is overkill. You need higher-resolution footage: Limited to 720p, this isn't going to offer the sharpest image quality. The Webcam Settings panel lets you adjust the camera’s brightness, contrast, saturation, zoom, and advanced settings. While testing the webcam’s performance during one of my regular Twitch streams, I was reasonably impressed with how well the C920 handled itself, maintaining a smooth frame rate and sharp images throughout the duration of the test.
