About this deal

Playable files:MP3 (Sampling rate: 32/44.1/48 kHz, Bit depth: 16-bit), AAC (Sampling rate: 16/22.05/24/32/44.1/48 kHz, Bit depth: 16-bit) WAV, AIFF, FLAC, Apple Lossless Conclusion The XDJ-700 is at its best when used standalone without a laptop, and paired with a similarly-sized Pioneer DJ mixer like the DJM-450 or the DJM-250MK2. This gives you that “club DJ” experience at home in a smaller footprint and much lower price tag. AlphaTheta Corporation announces the release of the new XDJ-XZ-Wfrom its Pioneer DJ brand. This new version of the popular all-in-one professional DJ system for rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro comes in a brilliant-white finish, bringing an eye-catching, pristine look to any event, venue, or studio. If you’re searching for a professional setup with a robust build, high-quality sound, and a unique look, the new white model is perfect for gigs and installations where you want to strike an impression with the audience – whether that’s in a lounge, bar, private party, or even an outdoor setting.

The Pioneer XDJ-RR is a brand new 2-channel all-in-one DJ system that runs using Pioneer’s proprietary Rekordbox DJ software and has been designed to help aspiring DJs learn essential and professional techniques so they can take their knowledge to the DJ booth with confidence. The XDJ-RR inherits a wealth of professional controls and functions from the flagship NXS2 range and loads them into a highly-portable, lightweight unit that is ideal for bedrooms, parties, and gigs as you progress through the DJ ranks. Mixer SectionThe Pioneer DJ XDJ-700 has a fully integrated 7 inch, full-colour, LED touch screen which is simply ideal for displaying the key functions of the DJ player including browse, play and perform. The browsing option has also been enhanced with the use of a QWERTY keyboard, enabling a keyword to be entered to search in addition to the usual method of using the rotary dial to scroll through the options. As such, the XDJ-700 is a niche product. However, there is a small audience of controller DJs there who would like to try spinning without a laptop present. They are looking for hardware that would let them cut their teeth on and, at the same time, retain essential functionality, library management, and controls found in DJ booths the world over without spending the equivalent price of a used car (or dipping into their kid’s college fund). For these folk, the XDJ-700 should be on their shortlist, along with the XDJ-1000MK2. The XDJ-XZ-W is sure to catch the eye of your audience and bring a pristine look to any event, venue, or studio – whether that’s in a lounge, bar, private party, or even an outdoor setting – thanks to the brand-new white color and aluminum jog wheels which feature a high-quality hairline finish. Advanced features and user experience from professional setups for pro performances The XDJ-700’s jogwheel is mechanical, just like a normal CDJ, albeit much smaller. I prefer bigger jogwheels, but the one on the XDJ-700 isn’t bad at all. It works as intended, though I do miss the heft and travel of a full-size platter. Touchscreen

That said, there is a very real opportunity here for the controller DJ who wants to jump to using CDJs at clubs and bars as opposed to taking along a controller and laptop wherever. I’m more of a mobile DJ than a club DJ, so I tend to take my controller along with me because the venue I play at doesn’t have CDJs. As such, I’m perfectly happy with my DDJ-RZ controller. Easily the best thing about the XDJ-700 is its full-colour, high-resolution touchscreen. It’s clear, and crisp, I had no problem using it. Even in a dark, sweaty / humid place like the bar I gigged at, the touchscreen was still responsive. I like the Qwerty keyboard simply because it’s much easier for me to search for songs instead of having to rely solely on the Browse knob. Rekordbox My Settings: Prepare your system’s setting preferences in rekordbox and instantly switch to your own settings during DJ changeovers in the booth. The XDJ-XZ-W will be available in selected regions (only available at specific retail stores in Asia Pacific, the Americas and Latin Americas – not available in EMEA regions). The XDJ-700 has many of the same features of the XDJ-1000 included looping, master tempo, pitch range adjust, beat sync and more.

MIDI controller interface: Connect the DDJ-SP1 controller with a USB cable for tactile control of numerous features of the XDJ-1000MK2, including Hot Cues, auto loops and Slip Mode. One DDJ-SP1 can control up to four XDJ multiplayers using Pro DJ Link.

There are extensive effects integrated directly into the unit which do not require a laptop to work and allow you to screw and add spatial effects to your mixes. A sound colour FX section provides you with four effects including dub echo, filter, noise, and pitch with a dedicated rotary control on each channel to adjust the sound colour FX, while a beat FX provides you with three time-based effects: echo, reverb, and flanger. Using the channel selector, you can make the beat FX individually affect channel 1, channel 2, or the master channel while a level/depth control lets you smoothly dial in the effects into your mix. 7-inch full-colour screen Use the full color LCD touch screen, and the color On Jog Display in the center of each jog wheel, to keep an eye on waveforms, Hot Cues, BPM, and more. With so much visual information available, you can focus on your performance and keep your eyes off your laptop when you’re performing with rekordbox or Serato DJ Pro. Compatible with rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro

To test it, I set up a pair in my bedroom along with a DJM-250MK2 mixer – the compact size makes it ideal for cramped bedroom desks, and also perfect for areas for entertaining guests when space is at a premium. The XDJ-700 looks impressive without being obtrusive or intimidating, and can easily blend into any contemporary living room set-up. First Impressions / Setting up The XDJ-700 is the “little brother” to Pioneer DJ’s XDJ-1000 multi player. Pro DJ Link means that DJs can connect up to four players or laptops via a LAN cable and share one source between them. rekordbox information can be shared across all four pieces of hardware, including the Beat Count, Phase Meter, Beat Sync and Key Analysis. Welcome to the new and improved Pioneer DJ XDJ-1000MK2. Several features have been inherited from the industry standard, and top of the range, CDJ-2000NXS2 bringing this USB only multiplayer to the forefront of DJ technology.

DJs can use Rekordbox or the Rekordbox app to plan their sets and the pleasingly large touch screen will display all the essential information including Beat Countdown, Active Loop, Wave Display with Wave Zoom, Key Analysis Indicator and Phase Meter. Pioneer DJ’s slimmest player yet, the XDJ-700 has been designed with the small booth or home set-up in mind. The unit measures just 238 x 308 x 106 mm (W x D x H). Plus the stand can easily be removed, reducing the height to 79 mm – helping it to fit into even smaller spaces. Professional layout for familiarity at home and in the booth The XDJ-1000 mirrors the layout of the club standard CDJs, so DJs can perfect their sets at home and move effortlessly to the booth to perform. The 206 mm jog wheels are the same size as those on the CDJ-2000NXS, for instant familiarity wherever a DJ plays. Sound Color FX: Add texture and tension by simply turning the knob: Filter, Noise, Dub Echo, Pitch.Using thumb drives with Rekordbox-prepared music is the way to go if you’re using an XDJ-700 set-up: the higher cost of an XDJ-700, compared to a DJ controller, comes from the fact that it works standalone without a computer. Again, if you really want to use a laptop running Rekordbox DJ when you gig out, go get a DJ controller that you can use at home like the DDJ-RX or DDJ-RB. You can then just plug in your laptop to the club’s CDJ/DJM kit when you’re at the gig, or you can take along your controller too if the venue doesn’t have a set-up. The XDJ-700 boasts all the same features of the XDJ-1000, many of which are inherited from the flagship CDJ-2000NXS. Music can be loaded onto the Multiplayer from a computer, laptop or Smartphone through a USB or Wi-Fi connection or a USB storage device as an entity. It should be noted that the XDJ-700 uses and displays data (including preference settings) from Rekordbox software, therefore the device that stores the music library has to be running the Rekordbox software or Rekordbox app. It is also worth noting that any USB device charges when connected to the USB touch screen controller. Finally, the Multiplayer is fully MIDI compatible. VirtualDJ Home is the free version of the most popular DJ mixing software of the same name, used by professionals. It has a few limitations compared to the pro version, but it is capable of mixing audio and videos yielding somewhat professional result. With this program, users can start creating basic mixing compilations; and even though it’s not really a program for novices, it’s intuitive and can be learned fast. Multicoloured USB port: Colour-code your USB devices in rekordbox, e.g. red for techno or blue for drum & bass, and the light around the USB port will reflect that setting for ease of identification in the booth.
