About this deal

The relationship with the brothers made me very emotional- I literally cried 💀 bc of personal reasons I always become a mess reading about such relationships whether it is with brothers or whatever. I loved and hated those scenes at the same time but anyways we stan Sebastian bc he got two knees but only one sister jumping off a cliff right now. While this is a standalone story, I would imagine with Dean’s involvement we will get some of the loose plot threads wrapped up in his book. Synopsis: “A Temptation I Couldn’t Resist… I saw her being stuffed in a trunk: Yelena Yenina, the only daughter of the most vicious Bratva boss in Chicago. The Bratva hate my family. They burned my uncle alive. I should have left Yelena to her fate… Riona Griffin is gorgeous, intelligent, and iron-willed. My perfect woman, except she hates my guts. She thinks she doesn’t need anybody. But she needs me.She’s being hunted by an assassin who never misses his mark.I’m going to stay by her side, day and night, keeping her safe. Riona thinks that’s a fate worse than death but I know she’ll learn to love me.If this hitman wants to kill her, he’ll have to go through me first.“Broken Vow” is the wild and dangerous fifth installment in the "Brutal Birthright" series. It's a standalone Bodyguard Mafia Romance, with a HEA and no cliffhanger. Contains steamy scenes. I was so excited to read this bc enemies to lovers?? Fake marriage?? Yes please 🤭🤭 and the book started so well with such good pacing and all plus the badass- AND JEALOUSY- scenes were just🤌, but the rest was not that good

To be honest I didn’t like Ryland that much. He didn’t stand out in any way to me. And I think that Riona is too good for him. Sure, he’s a sweetheart, he didn’t really do anything bad, I just … he was average. She was cute, I liked her but there are some things she did that didn’t feel like her and something she did that I did not feel comfortable with. The way she was portrayed throughout the story didn’t fit in with what she did at times, they were very out of character. Holly Summers has all grown up, it seems. She used to be a thing thing that lived across their hall. Now she has bloomed into adulthood and her chosen line of work is a political advisor. As such she is the hottest and most in demand advisor in London and everyone would love to offer her a job. Oh and their love story happened so fast, one day they were captor and captive, and then suddenly he fell in love with her out of nowhere. I was like hold up, did we have a time skip I wasn't aware of? And don't even get me started on the most eye-twitch-inducing "Psychology" 101 sex trope - a woman who is considered a "ballbuster" and in full control of her professional and personal life, who is a bit of a control freak, simply MUST enjoy being dominated in bed. I mean, like always, I get that it's a legitimate thing that happens but can we (and by we, I mean myself), JUST ONCE, have a female character who likes to be in control both in boardroom and the bedroom? Like, why is it that male characters can be described as "Mr. Big D Energy exercises control in all aspects of his life" but as soon as you have a female character who exercises control in her life, she simply MUST meet a guy who will make her "let go" and free her of her inhibitions and what-not.This instalment in the Brutal Birthright series is well loved and for a good reason. For other than the cover model, that is. While Holly and Byron say that they are going to just remain friends, it appears that actions speak louder than words here. The two are constantly hooking up and taking the clothes off the other one. It’s clear that they have incredible chemistry together and they probably would be a fantastic couple if things got serious.

Brutal Prince” is the explosive first act in the epic “Brutal Birthright” series. It’s a stand-alone Dark Mafia Romance, complete with HEA and no cliffhangers. It contains blazing hot bedroom scenes for mature readers only!!! The Heir is the first book to a series that is set in Kingmakers, an exclusive and very secretive college for mafia children. To echo Sophie Lark herself, it’s like Hogwarts for mafia children but without the magic. This book introduces us to Leo and Anna, both heirs to influential crime syndicates in Chicago. They grew up together and have been best friends all their life. As they are both thrown into an unknown environment, their relationship dynamics begin to change as new feelings start to bubble to the surface. However, before they can both confront their growing feelings for each other, their relationship is thrown a wrench in the form of Dean. Byron is the type to go for vengeance. He’s fallen for Lex, but how long can that last? Apparently not that long, because once Lex has done her damage and his career is ruined, and she’s broken his heart, she’s made an apparent enemy for life. The detective isn’t going to let her get away from him that easily, especially considering what she’s done. Author’s additional notes: “This was the first romance novel I ever wrote. It’s a loose modern adaptation of my all-time favorite romance “Persuasion” by Jane Austen. I identify with the heroine’s inability to ever stop longing for her first and only love. I later gender-swapped this concept for my mafia novel “Bloody Heart”.” Stolen Heir” is the dark and gothic second act of the “Brutal Birthright” series. It’s a stand-alone Enemies to Lovers Romance, complete with HEA and no cliffhangers. It contains blazing hot bedroom scenes for mature readers only!!!But she fought like a Valkyrie. Gorgeous, ferocious, and unbreakable. I saved her so I could make her mine. She says she’ll never submit to a man. I guess we’ll see… I’ll push her to the limit. And far beyond.” I have tons more to say, but I will just add a couple of more notes: this book is not "funny", it's better, it's humorous. I can say that for every Sophie Lark book though. That's another thing I love about these books: the tone is so serious, it's not the histrionic and impossible lighthearted fluff that makes me want to punch myself so my eye swells and I can't read. The stories are alive, gripping, the darkness doesn't make me roll my eyes or suffocate me, it is complemented by the beauty of love and the lightness of dry humor and wit. Also - the cameos had me screaming. How can they, without even stealing the scene? Now I can't wait for Sebastian's book. I think I'll just read Nessa's book again sometime, which is Yet Another Irrelevant Point that I want to make: I like how little, I think, we see of Nessa in the books after hers. It's like she and Miko retreated to the eerie, mesmerizing, lovely beauty and the beast atmosphere of the mansion and their own lives.
