The twigs contain fewer catechins, less gallic acid, and much less hamamelitannin(4.77% vs 0.18%). The leaves contain hardly any tannins (0.04%) or catechins and contain amedium amount of gallic acid (compared to the bark and twigs). In other words, for all intents and purposes they are the exact same products just in different bottles and with different branding. Never pop it. Popping acne pimples lead to scars (sometimes permanent marks on the face). You will at least end up getting open pores all over your face later in the 30s.So what are those carcinogens (cancer-causing ingredients) in Clean and Clear foaming face wash? The complication, however, is that different extracts and distillates can be made from different parts of the plant (bark, twigs, and leaves are typically used) and different extraction methods from different parts produce different results. Alcohol is a very controversial ingredient. Critics say it’s terribly drying and irritating and it can make pimples worse. Fans say it helps active ingredients better penetrate your skin and its drying effects can be counteracted with a good moisturizer anyway. But this is a spot treatment. Witch Hazelalso contains tiny amounts of the essential oil and fragrance component eugenol, but the amount is so small that it's probably not significant for the skin. My opinion?
