About this deal

Chapters alternate between the mother, Morgan, and her her daughter, Clara. It starts off at Morgans high school graduation party and reveals Morgan's realization that she is pregnant. After this first chapter, everything takes place during Morgan's life as 34 year-old -mother and Clara's life as a 16 year-old on the brink of 17 years old. La historia trata sobre Morgan una mujer de 34 años que quedó embarazada muy joven y ahora es está casada con una hija adolescente. I found the passages around communication and misunderstandings to be particularly poignant. They underscore both how easy it is to let feelings of hurt and resentment build up over time, as well as the difference it can make to approach a loaded interaction with calmness, kindness, and honesty. But if anyone were to discover how Ledger is slowly becoming an important part of Kenna’s life, both would risk losing the trust of everyone important to them.

No es que la historia de Clara y Miller no fuera bonita y no me gustara todo lo contrario pero la de Morgan y Jonah era más profunda y la opacaron. I’ve believed in you since the moment I met you. I believe in myself now that I’ve finally left you.” JONAH: Él también me gustó mucho y sufría demasiado viendo a la mujer que amaba con su mejor amigo. The supporting characters in this book are real highlights. Miller and his gramps are both so sweet and sarcastic, and they steal every scene they're in. They provide the perfect comfort to Clara through her anguish and heartbreak. It makes me wish they were real so that I could have them in my life. Today, it is easier than ever to truly communicate with an author and to get response to comment, praise and even criticisms. This is what fuels self-published independent authors. Instant response from their readership, that can guide their projects, and even their plots, to meet the demands of their readers. Five books in sequence have all led Colleen Hoover to best-selling status in the New York Times.

The agents of large publishing houses are starting to take a closer look at self-publishing sales. These are indicators of trends and have led to a new category for publishers to consider, that of young adult romance fiction. Unless you were an avid romance reader, you might not have known the name Colleen Hoover before 2021. Lowen decides to keep the manuscript hidden from Jeremy, knowing its contents could devastate the already grieving father. Feelings of guilt and remorse have plagued the young Dean, and he searches for a sense of peace in his dilemma with Sky. When they finally reconnect, a greater pain embraced the young man. For the second installment in the series, readers learn more about Holder’s youth, and his search for redemption in the act of saving another. Connecting with Colleen HooverAdd to this an important secret that threatens to keep them apart. Hoover writes with description that captivates her readers and doesn’t let go. In this story it is only through poetry that the truth is in their hearts, and the characters of Layken and Will hope for a future where their love can be a cause for celebration, not regret. Point of Retreat The conflict between the mother and daughter is caused by their personality. Both of them have a strong character and sometimes they do not listen to each other. But in the end, Clara’s character develops and their relationship gets better. Not only do I love her success for what it’s doing for the romance genre, but I also just love her story of success. If you prefer to start with a standalone romance, these are the Colleen Hoover books that can be read as standalone novels:

Untangling stories of the past is a recurring theme in Hoover’s writing and she doesn’t disappoint here. By the end of the trilogy, it is apparent that the future rests on how well Layken and Will manage to deal with their pasts, together. Other Books But when Chris is killed in an accident, it upends their lives in many ways, and Morgan isn’t really sure what to do now. Clara is testing her in every way and Morgan is trying desperately to protect her daughter from truths that might destroy her. Should Morgan sacrifice her relationship with her daughter to protect her, though? Colleen Hoover books attract a wide range of readers because her books don’t just fit into one genre. Though the majority of Colleen Hoover books fit the romance genre, they span adult romance, new adult romance, and young adult romance.

Next is the plot. I don’t know what others think but it’s sort of repetitive and predictable to me that I can predict what would happen next in the story and when the supposed-to-be twists actually occurred, I didn’t even surprise. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed by that because I truly want CoHo to prove my predictions wrong but unfortunately, she didn’t. The first and most frustrating one is the character named ‘Clara’ or the daughter. I know she’s only a 16/17-year-old girl so being hot-tempered or childish sometimes is kinda understandable but I just can’t stand the way she thought of her mom. It seems like she had prejudice against her all the time. Whatever her mom did or said was always wrong to her. And it got me like ‘Can’t you just stop whining and listen to your mom?’ because it was really annoying. First of all, a warning. Regretting You is teeming with dramas as always as her previous books (maybe a little bit more than the older ones, I guess) so if you want to add some drama to your life and in case you don’t mind being upset because of its story, just go for it. But if your life is already stressful enough, I suggest you pass it since it also actually gave me a headache.

So there is a lot going on BUT instead of reading something adult I thought it read more like an intense immature teenage storyline. To conclude, the chemistry between the characters is warm and loving. The character development is relieving. The conversation of each character in the story is well written and not seem forced or cheesy. Though, there are some things that I do not like personally from the book. Morgan’s character is too selfless. She is rather to be hated by her daughter rather than telling the truth. Meanwhile, sometimes Clara’s decision while taking action is outrageous. Morgan and Clara have strong personalities. They are both smart, stubborn, and loving. In fact, Clara is a lot like Morgan when she was at that age (202). Also, the story in the book is fast-paced. Therefore, it does not bore me. Though there are some conflicts that I think are too lengthy and it could make the reader impatient and want to finish the book as soon as possible. Es una mujer con un carácter más suave, es conciliadora, tiene ese lado tierno y amoroso. Nunca ha sido realmente feliz, no ha tenido un propósito en la vida y quiere encontrarlo. If ever there is a woman to look up to and find motivation in her story to becoming one of the best-selling romance novelists, Colleen Hoover is it.

Publication Order of Never Never Books

Here Colleen Hoover has emerged with a new story based on Sky, a high school senior who has her first romantic encounter with Dean Holder, a boy with a reputation and a mysterious past. Writing about dealing with people who have devastating pasts is very current theme for Colleen. Overall, this is not my favorite Colleen Hoover book, but I think it’s still worth a read! Family relationships come front and center for this novel, so don’t expect a huge romantic plotline. But the way that Morgan and Clara deal with tragedy is definitely the highlight of this novel! I just cannot like a book based solely on the writing style. I don't want to sympathize with characters and themes which are really morally disgraceful and harmful.
