It's first was Entertaining Strangers, written by award-winning playwright David Edgar and directed by Ann Jellicoe, the founder of the community theatre genre. Annie grunted in her sleep, and I shifted around in Michael’s arms. “Can you hold that thought until later?”

As I placed her on the changing table to dress her, Michael came in to give Annie her good-morning kiss. “Maybe we should get your mother to babysit Annie tonight. I mean, she’ll probably sleep through the whole thing, anyway.” I experienced so many emotions with this story. At one point I just wanted to put it down and not finish it. And it wasn't because I disliked it, but because it was so overwhelming that I had a hard time processing all the feelings that were coursing through me. Even though there were a few places throughout that I kinda thought, "well, I'm a little confused",it wasn't enough for me to change my mind on the rating. The top half of the Earth we call the northern hemisphere, and the bottom half we call the southern hemisphere.Whispers of Goodbye was a bit more serious. It took place in Reconstruction Louisiana and didn’t have any supernatural plots like the first book did. This one was mostly a gothic romance with a bit of a whodunnit. It gave me strong Rebecca vibes which I appreciated. The slowness of the pace, I didn’t appreciate as much. It just felt like nothing was happening for most of the book and lots of repetition. Then the ending was extremely abrupt. I will say that there were aspects of the mystery that I did not guess and that impressed me. After summer it starts tilting away from the Sun again. The days get shorter and colder as we move into Autumn. Now, the Moon is the biggest influence on Earth’s tides because of its proximity ― but it isn’t the only influence. The Sun ― with about 27 million times the mass of the Moon ― is always the gorilla in the room when it comes to solar system equations. But it’s a distant gorilla, about 390 times farther away than the Moon, which gives it a little less than half of the Moon’s tide-generating force. Yet it still plays a role.

Shadow of the Moon was the first book & the more enjoyable of the two. The Outlander inspo was definitely obvious, but I didn’t mind. The time traveling aspect was actually handled very well and I really enjoyed the Civil War setting. Some of the drama felt a bit forced and silly because it all could’ve been avoided with one honest conversation, but then the more adventurous parts of the book wouldn’t of happened and that’d be no good either. I mostly just wish the romance had a bit more trust and chemistry, but I was still invested enough to enjoy it. Karen’s roots run deep in the South where many of her novels are set. Her intricate plot lines and compelling characters charm and captivate readers with just the right mix of family drama, mystery, intrigue and romance. Can you easily predict the tides by following the path of the Moon? Not really! First of all, because the Moon is orbiting in the same direction as the Earth rotates, it takes extra time for any point on our planet to rotate and end up exactly below the Moon. The extra time is ~50 mins. This means that the high tide bulges are never directly lined up with the Moon, but a little ahead of it.

The line around which something spins is called an axis. The Earth's axis is tilted at an angle. The Earth’s tilt is the reason for the changing seasons. This includes a cast of 90 local people, plus musicians, directed by Peter Leslie Wild (Orange Tree Theatre in Richmond, Chester Mystery Plays, The Archers) with a script written by Stephanie Dale (Giants on the Hill, Persuasion, several works for the BBC and our fifth community play A Time to Keep). As well as the launch on Saturday, there is a workshop for beginners on Sunday, November 3 at Dorchester Corn Exchange between 2-4pm, and the casting weekend will run from Friday November 29 to Saturday, December 1.
