The front teeth in the lower jaw (the lower central incisors) are usually the first to come through. Made from the oils found in German chamomile flower heads and one of the ingredients in Ashton & Parsons Teething Powders, Tincture of Matricaria has been used to help relieve the pain associated with teething. The calming properties of the chamomile plant have been recognised as a natural remedy for thousands of years.

Some mums suggest you can avoid unwelcome bites during unlatching by placing a clean finger behind your baby’s front teeth as you detach. For reasons of hygiene and safety, personal grooming products, cosmetics or items of intimate clothing cannot be returned. We have used Ashton & Parsons for both children, they work for a short while effectively. Although they didn’t seem to work on our 11-month-old, we ended up using the teething liquid instead. The powders are easy to apply & the small sachets are great for popping in your bag. 😊Each sachet contains powder impregnated with 0.002ml of tincture from Matricaria (Matricaria recutita L.) flower (1:4-5). It is likely that you’ll notice symptoms of your baby beginning to teethe at around 6 months old. However, some babies can be born with teeth, or begin developing them very early. Others don’t begin teething until they are a year old. For each tooth eruption, symptoms may appear from 3 -5 days beforehand. But every baby is different, and the time it takes for all their teeth to come through may vary dramatically. We’ve put together a guide that may help you to manage expectations when it comes to teething timescales.
