However, as things were looking bleak, Brown landed an audition for Netflix's Stranger Things. "I had to cry in the audition. My emotions were so raw, I hit it out of the park," she said. Weeks later, Brown was on a plane to begin filming in Atlanta. While participating in a weekend acting workshop, Brown was discovered by a professional talent scout who told her parents that she had a natural talent for acting and might do well in Hollywood. Her parents ventured to Los Angeles with Brown to meet with talent agencies. Within a few months, Brown was offered her first professional role, a recurring part on the fantasy television series Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. The show, a spin-off of the popular fantasy drama Once Upon a Time (2011–18), was based on Lewis Carroll’s literary classics Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. Brown played the role of Alice’s younger self on two episodes of the show’s one-season run. Writing about her inclusion among the special group, actor Aaron Paul recalled how he was stunned by Brown's wisdom and perspective upon meeting her, feeling like he was talking to a future leader. "Maybe that's why she's such an extraordinary actor," he wrote. "She somehow understands the human experience as if she has lived it for a thousand years."

Millie’s first capsule collection was released in 2020. Every detail of the exclusive MBB x Vogue Eyewear collection, be it pleasant pastel colors, avant-garde lens shapes, flashy colors, or metal frames exuding retro flair, reflected the young celebrity’s attitude and values. This year, Vogue Eyewear teamed up once again with the actress for her new #MBBDIARIES capsule collection. El Sistema, The National Children's Orchestra of Venezuela, renewed as UNICEF Venezuela Ambassadors. To celebrate the annual commemoration, stars and leaders from the worlds of entertainment, government, sport and business will rally for children in support of their rights, and children will ‘take over’ high-profile roles to highlight issues that are important to them. These include: Brown was born in Marbella, Spain, and raised by her parents, Kelly and Robert Brown. She was the third of four siblings. When Brown was just four years old, her family moved to Bournemouth, Dorset, England. Her family then moved to Orlando, Florida, in 2011, when Brown was about eight years old. Brown was born partially deaf in her left ear and later, after years of using tubes, lost all of her hearing in that ear. She has spoken about her hearing loss, emphasizing that it has not affected her acting or singing abilities.

The collection is dedicated to some of Millie’s favorite cities that have shaped Millie into who she is today – L.A., London, New York, and Marbella. Within three months of moving, Brown was given the role of Alice in ABC's Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, and soon after she appeared as Madison O'Donnell in BBC America's Intruders. While Brown continued finding work in smaller roles on shows like NCIS, Modern Family and Grey’s Anatomy, she kept getting passed up for bigger roles. In Brussels, youth delegates will ‘take over’ the European Parliament and tell leaders about the ‘Europe Kids Want.’ This is all out of respect. Please let me inform you on how woman and men have worked harder than you or I could ever imagine for 3 times our years. No internet, no Spotify, no nothing that makes it so easy to gain so many fans in such little time, just dedication and pure hard work just pushing and pushing to make their dreams happen."I must also praise Millie Bobby Brown for her use of breaking the fourth wall. It was not intrusive or annoying, she would merely tease us by giving an occasional wink or glance, which was enough to keep us charmed by her. I am usually not a fan of breaking the fourth wall, but this movie hit the sweet-spot on being tasteful enough that I did not mind. The fight sequences were fun and kept you on the edge of your seat, and so did the slow building anticipation on the romance between Tewkesbury and Enola. Grail was a scary but well-developed antagonist, depicted perfectly by David Thewlis.
