Niacinamide – Strengthens the skin barrier, fades dark spots, brightens and regulates sebum production. I did gradually start re-introducing my regular products, but the only Stratia product I no longer use is the Velvet Cleansing Milk, I just prefer a bit more of a robust cleanser (but would *highly* recommend it to others who either do not want to double cleanse or who have drier skin than I do). I'll admit that I'm a bit ambivalent about the rewind serum. I do still use it but it's hard to isolate the effect. I will say that it has a great texture, no scent, and feels really good when applied. Stratia was created recently (2016 or 2017), but the brand gained an excellent reputation amongst the “skincare community” on social media from the very beginning.

I’ve found that this is quite light and sinks into your skin well if you don’t apply too much. It doesn’t drag when you apply it like a more linoleic-rich oil, but also doesn’t feel like it’s dripping off my face either (a bit problem when you’re oily!). It has quite a strong musty oil smell – to me it isn’t unpleasant, but I can imagine it could bother some people. I’ve been mixing a couple of drops with Liquid Gold when my skin feels extra dry, and using it under tretinoin to try to reduce irritation – it’s working really well for both. I’ve also lent this to my sister to help with spironolactone-induced dryness and she loves it too! Plus, licorice root extract and allantoin gently brighten your skin tone and are a great addition to a nighttime skincare routine to make you glow. Rosehip seed oil Because of the orange colour – it stains my pillow (could be due to the fact that I use a lot? but I don’t want to limit how much I use for fear of looking orange, I would rather be adequately moisturised, especially if this is the SOLE moisturiser I’m using in my routine. The ingredients are carefully chosen, and hallelujah, no “clean” or “green” marketing campaigns like nearly every other skincare launch from the last 5 years. The fatty acids in the formula are light, but you could always layer Interface with a richer moisturizer if you need extra protection.Ceramides are a family of waxy lipid molecules that are naturally produced by the skin and are vital in supporting the stratum corneum (the outer layer of skin). Overall, we think that Stratia Liquid Gold is formulated well and should help to moisturize and brighten skin, but we wish the brand would reformulate with a different preservative so that the formula would be paraben-free. Pros Our current one, Ceramide 1, or morerecently called CeramideEOP, was the first one that was identified in 1982 and it's a special snowflake. It contains the essential fatty acid, linoleic acid and has a unique structure. It's believed that ceramide 1 plays a "binding role" in the lipid layers of the extracellular matrix. Along with ceramides 4 and 7, they also play a vital role in epidermal integrity and serve as the main storage areas for linoleic acid (a fatty acid that's alsovery important for barrier repair). The Pure 24K infused Glow Cream is from South Californian brand Pura D’or. I define it as a multi-functional skincare product as it helps my skin with many things. I’m almost 6 months into the treatment and I’m in the ” tough ” part of the treatment ( I think, but there might still be a long way to go!
