I didn't care for the characters and I didn't care who Olivia really was and what secrets she had hidden from Matt. Her story was too far-fetched. On the other hand, Kimmy lures in Olivia by messaging her as Paula’s parent. Olivia seems to be suffering from survivor’s guilt and repeatedly asks for forgiveness from the older woman. Unbeknownst to her, Kimmy has already decided on how to punish her. She sedates Olivia by mixing something in her drink and takes her to the very place where Aníbal entertained his secret clientele. When Aguilar delivers Mat in exchange for the tapes, she ensures that Mat will get to watch as three men gangrape his wife. Fortunately, Lorena arrives and rescues them. This book is one of the early and standalone thriller works of the author! Unfortunately it is not Myron and Win adventure! In this book, the prosecutor and the detective played catch-catch in the office with the evidence and examined it casually !! I am not going to tell here what evidence it was, but it was.. ewwww!!. Shouldn't forensic experts be doing these examinations in the lab or morgue or whatever. Or was I reading all the wrong books till now?
