The Chairs of Estate were used during the early parts of the Service and for the Coronation of Her Majesty The Queen. The Colour bears The King’s cypher ensigned with the Crown. In the four corners are the national badges of the United Kingdom, each ensigned with the Crown. It is made of heavily gold embroidered and tasselled silk, and is much larger than other Regimental Colours, at over 6 feet square. The Medal acts as a thank you gift from the nation to commemorate the Coronation for the people who will make the historic service happen. In keeping with tradition, this new Royal Standard is of heavily gold embroidered and tasselled silk. Its dimensions remain unchanged from the Regimental Colours of yesteryear, meaning it is dramatically larger than the standard Regimental Colours you might see elsewhere on parade in the modern Army – the fabric alone is over 6 feet square. Extremely heavy, extremely strong Sunday 7 May's coronation concert will feature a celebratory musical event similar to the Party at the Palace of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, but this time outside Windsor Castle.
