About this deal

Serious side effects are rare. You're more likely to have a serious side effect if you use beclometasone on a large area of skin for a long time. They can be used to replace lost moisture whenever your skin feels dry or tight. They're very safe and you cannot overuse them.

It's a good idea to protect babies' hands and cheeks with an emollient before mealtimes to stop them getting sore from food and drink. you get lighter or darker patches on your skin – these are a sign of changes to the pigment in your skin If you experience any of these symptoms, talk to a GP, nurse or pharmacist. Safety advice when using emollients Fire safety There is positive evidence of human fetal risk based on adverse reaction data from investigational or marketing experience or studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use in pregnant women despite potential risks. It may help to apply an emollient before and after swimming. Leave enough time for it to be absorbed into your skin before you swim. This avoids diluting the effect of the treatment and spreading it to areas of skin that do not need it. When to apply emollients If your doctor says you can use beclometasone on your face, then it’s usually OK to use it for up to 5 days. Only use the cream or ointment for longer than 5 days if your doctor tells you to.

Has a high potential for abuse. Has a currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States or a currently accepted medical use with severe restrictions. Abuse may lead to severe psychological or physical dependence. Talk to your doctor if you're worried. They will be able to explain the benefits and risks of your child using beclometasone. Emollients are often used to help manage dry, itchy or scaly skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and ichthyosis. In very rare cases, using beclometasone for a long time can slow down the normal growth of children and teenagers.

DERAMTOLOGICALLY TESTED– E45’s non-greasy emollient formulation is completely dermatologically tested. E45 Cream is also developed for more serious dry skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, ichthyosis and certain dry cases of psoriasis. The drug has multiple schedules. The schedule may depend on the exact dosage form or strength of the medication. If you need to use a dressing, like a bandage or plaster, wait at least 10 minutes after putting on beclometasone. the treated skin becomes redder or swollen, or yellow fluid is weeping from your skin – these are signs of a new skin infection or an existing one getting worse

You can buy emollients from a pharmacy without a prescription. If the skin condition is severe, talk to a GP, nurse or health visitor, as you may need a stronger treatment. If your skin stings after using an emollient wash product and does not settle after rinsing, ask a pharmacist to recommend a different product. Using emollients with other skin treatments Beclometasone cream is safe to use during pregnancy. Since it's applied to the skin, very little of the medicine gets into your bloodstream and almost none gets to your baby. Even if a small amount does get to your baby, it will not harm them.Tell your doctor if your skin gets worse or does not improve within 2 to 4 weeks (or 5 days for a child or when using it on your face). What if I use too much? Occasionally the skin will become even redder and crustier than the images show. In such cases , if the skin becomes too uncomfortable Most people only need to use beclometasone cream or ointment for a short time. Stop using it as soon as your skin is better. Sometimes you only need to use the cream or ointment for a few days. Mix a small amount (around teaspoonful) of leave-on emollient or soap substitute in the palm of your hand with a little warm water and spread it over damp or dry skin.

By the end of the first week, I was well on my way to having an eczema flare-up. My skin was less flakey but I had more noticeable sores, splits, and red patches on the palms of my hands. After a few days of using Cetraben, my skin did start to heal, but the change in temperature mixed with my ongoing use of hand sanitizer had clearly taken its toll on my hands. Although I upped my use of Cetraben around this time, it's not uncommon for me to have to call in the big guns and use Hydrocortisone if I cannot control the flare-up. I chose not to use Hydrocortisone this time so see if the Cetraben could help and after a few days of having quite sore hands, I did start to notice improvements. Has a low potential for abuse relative to those in schedule 3. It has a currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States. Abuse may lead to limited physical dependence or psychological dependence relative to those in schedule 3. KEEP SKIN HYDRATED - Lanolin, light liquid paraffin and white soft paraffin have emollient moisturising properties to help keep skin hydrated and leave it soft, comfortable and relieved. Timing of treatment is important – if you have something important coming up, such as a holiday or a special social occasion, it is sensible to start treatment on your return/afterwards.If you're using a steroid cream or another treatment for your skin condition, wait 20 to 30 minutes between using an emollient and using the other treatment. Ask a doctor which one to use first.
