I had fed speaker cables from the boot to the front in anticipation of replacing the door speakers and feeding them from my 4 channel amp, but I don't think that will be necessary.
JVC includes a Double DIN mounting cage with all of its head units. Alpine does not include a mounting cage with its head units. This kit is designed to replace the metal cage kit that is usually supplied with your new aftermarket double din head-unit or navigation system. It is used along with fascias that have 103mm high hole sizes. This cage kit comes complete with fixings to attach to the new car radio body. This interface converts the high level audio output of a new head unit to a low level pre amplified signal which will work with an amplifier. 4 adjustable channels for optimum audio quality, it has a built in ground loop isolator and filters to get the best sound from the amplifier. Car Audio Fitting Accessories are sold with limited instructions. Some knowledge of car audio installation is helpful, as in some rare case "modification" is necessary.
Following the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union there have been changes to import and export practices. Customers within the EU will no longer pay UK Tax. Pretty much all the connection I needed were taken care of by connecting the cables together, but I still needed ignition switched power and a connection to the handbrake light.
