About this deal

A little boy who fell to an early death from his bedroom - he is said to tug on your clothes for safety There was much talk of the house possessing a very strange atmosphere and during their tenure a number of television editors fell ill one after the other, which may have been completely co-incidental, but all the same gives pause for thought.

As far as the house and grounds were concerned, however, the renovations and extensions, carried out by various owners, greatly enhanced the property. The Dyer family, owners between 1710 and 1798, added the magnificent Queen Anne façade. If you want to experience this all for yourself then come with me to our first location on the haunted house’s map of haunted North Wales … Pen-y-Lan Hall, North Wales A former lord of the manor has been seen many times in the Oak room, while a young girl can be seen playing in some of the bedrooms. Over the years he has appeared to gardeners, servants and tradesmen, whilst more recently, guides at the property have heard his ghostly footsteps.

Gwydir Castle

The saying goes that anyone who spends a night in the castle, will not wake to see the dawn. Oystermouth Castle, The Mumbles, Swansea Plas Teg is a country house that was built in 1610 and is located on the A541 between Wrexham and Mold, due to its longstanding history and unfortunate deaths, Plas Teg is said to be home to no less than 15 ghosts who roam the building and the grounds around it. During the city’s Roman heyday, its ancient city walls (the only complete circuit in the UK today) were built for protection. Roman legionnaires were often posted at various points to watch out for enemies. Our ghost in question was the subject of a love story gone wrong. Disembodied footsteps, doors slamming, temperature changes and the feeling of being watched soon followed and became more frequent throughout the farm. While Liz was pregnant for the second time, these occurrences started to graduate into apparitions and later, possessions. The most famous entity in the Skirrid Inn isn’t one that was hanged during the trials of the courtroom, but rather a former landlady of the pub, Fanny Price. Price was the landlady of the Skirrid Inn during the 1800s and died of consumption aged just 35, her grave is a stone’s throw away from the Inn and there have been multiple sightings of Price in the pub. However, Fanny Price is reported to be a benevolent spirit, and her sightings and presence would also come with the smell of lavender. “Skirrid Inn’s noose” by andy dolman is licensed under CC BY-SA 2.0.

Wales has long been known as the "Land of Castles" and can well and truly boast some of the most impressive and imposing fortresses in the whole of Europe. Europe's finest and most imposing medieval strongholds. Many of these imposing bastions remain as striking today as ever they did in the past, and the spectres that haunt them stands as testimony both to the violence of the age in which they were constructed and to the hundreds of years and unrest that the castles of haunted Wales of borne witness. Although the nature of the entities is largely friendly and playful, the number and frequency of occurrences leave Llancaiach Fawr Manor House as one of the most haunted houses in Wales. The grand staircase, situated to the left as you enter is haunted by two spectral children who sometimes appear and then disappear, but who are mostly heard rather than seen as they enjoy a ghostly game, their phantom whoops and giggles clearly audible to bemused witnesses. Plas Newydd is a historic house in Llangollen that has a history steeped in romance. The house is most famous for its residents Eleanor Butler and Sarah Ponsonby, two Irish women who ran away to start a life together in Llangollen. They were believed to be romantically involved and could have very well been the UK’s first openly lesbian couple. Because of this they were well known and coined the Ladies of Llangollen. Pen Y Lan carries the reputation locally of being notoriously haunted and the image of a child was captured peering out of a window at the hall. This was documented and reported at the time by the local tabloids. One local story also tells of a child who was reportedly saved from drowning in a lake on the ground by a mysterious dark figure who disappeared! His figure is seen at the same spot even now! Making this one of our most haunted places in North Wales. Pen-y-Lan Hall exterior Spectres have been seen on CCTV walking in and out of cells and the echoes of a young girl called Beatrice has been seen. Cell doors bang and tortured screams are often heard. My personal experiences here It is haunted by a ‘White Lady,’ who is thought to be the wronged wraith of Elinir Cavendish, first cousin of the Lady of the house in the 1720’s - although some versions of the story say she was her sister.

At least 15 ghosts are reputed to frequent grand Plas Teg, a Jacobean country house near the town of Mold in Flintshire. A variety of ghostly noises have reportedly been heard in the house ranging from giggling to crying and talking, as well as the sound of footsteps. Some people claim to have been pushed by an invisible being and individuals also frequently experience sudden changes in their emotional state, ranging from sadness to happiness and anger, depending on which parts of the house they are in. Bodelwyddan Castle I recall in my early ghost hunting days visiting the castle numerous times at dusk where I felt captivated as I walked the halls and out buildings. It was also on one of those occasions where Randolph Turpin’s Lady in Red made her presence known to myself and three friends I was with at the time. She walked straight out of a wall into the courtyard we were standing in! According to Margam Country park, Robert Scott has often been seen purposefully ascending the Gothic staircase leading the Castle. His presence has come forward regularly with psychic investigators, all of whom have insisted his spirit is consumed with rage over his unjust killing. The ghost of a woman who tragically drowned herself in a nearby lake roams the grounds, and it is here that the cry of the Gwrach y Rhibyn is heard (Welsh Banshee). Llandaff’s Cathedral Close has a bit of a reputation as a spooky location, which paranormal writers and ghost seekers highly rate. Whether you believe in ghosts or not, there is a legend associated with the street, that used to be called The Road of the Dead, will send chills down your spine. The road runs down the side of the Cathedral.Incensed by the rejection, her spurned suitor gave chase and, having caught up with her at Newton House, murdered her in cold blood. The sound of giggling children can also be heard frequently through the long corridors and dramatic rooms of the family areas. You will hear more about Beaumaris later on in our journey. Other ghostly figures include a boy who sprinkles salt on tables, a young girl from the Pugh family who is said to have been murdered at the hall for falling in love with a non-catholic boy and a soldier. An old lady is seen sitting by the fire place and guests feel like they are constantly being watched.
