When I saw what the bottle of Khamrah Lattafa Perfumes looked like, I was stunned and disappointed, and I did not immediately decide to write about this fragrance. Kažem jedan dan mom mužu nek ga i on proba, jer unisex je (iako na nekim arapskim sajtovima stoji da je muški), pa rekoh kako će to kod njega ispasti. Ajme... mnoge je mirise moj muž koristio, ali kako mu ovaj predobro stoji. Na mom mužu začini, slatko ali i toplo drvenasto više dođu do izražaja, i tako je Khamrah dobio (ili dobila, neznam što riječ znači) novog vlasnika. While it's officially an Arabic concoction considered the second coming of Angel's Share, a popular men's fragrance by Killian, most of us know it's only *loosely* inspired by the boozy apple pie juice. The bottle is duped. The scent? Meeeeh.

I have had this perfume in my house for a month now and it gets even more pleasant. I love how it gets more decadent as time goes, without the sweetness becoming too much. Why are you wearing a men's perfume? I'm asked that too often. Let's just get that nasty question out of the way first, shall we? The fragrance opens on the sparkling, citrusy notes of bergamot, warmed by the spicy presence of cinnamon and nutmeg. Heart of the fragrance is the intense sweetness of dates that twists around the heady nuances of lily of the valley, the sensual ones of tuberose and the delicious notes of pralines. On the skin, the olfactory notes of toasted Tonka beans, vanilla, myrrh and amber wood will finally gently settle. Spicy FragrancesWhile Khamrah unfolds and follows different steps in the pyramid it's in many ways pretty linear. The first whiffs are a good indication of what you'll keep. You'll just get a tad more sweetness from the very edible heart and a vanilla-warm-woody base to have both a longer lasting effect and depth. That spicy cinnamonroll/gingerbread opening stays with you - though in a more subdued way. Inspired by the warm and mysterious lands, Khamrah is a luxurious and sophisticated fragrance that plays with the sweet and warm notes typical of the brand. An intriguing olfactory experience for a fragrance with a mysterious character and spicy undertones. Perfect for any event, from the most elegant to an evening with friends, it is sold at an absolutely affordable cost. Inspired by Spice My favorite tipsy angel with cognac-soaked wings, Angels' Share enjoys hot tea with cinnamon and candied fruit cake, readily breathes in the scent of cognac-aged oak barrels, warms up by the fireplace, squinting at the light of candles, and tells fairytales... The angel tells all these tales to adults because there is no need for drunk people to talk to children, and adults also sometimes want fairy tales.

All-in-all: while the original reason for the hype is weak (dupe), many have definitely, accurately designated Khamrah's worth. The fragrance can measure itself with scent and quality against a niche caliber juice and come out, if not on top, then certainly holding an award for “Best Middle Eastern Gourmand of 2022 with excellent marketing”. The fragrance starts very nice gourmandig and smells like baked apple with cinnamon. I was totally happy that I did not smell anything from the Akigalawood. But after a few minutes, this note then rose to my nose, at first only discreetly, but with time more intense. Khamrah is whatever you want it to be, but I assume most people'll wear this fragrance in the colder months of the year. It is also when it performs best, though I have worn it to bed in Fall and cooler Spring days. The performance on this, is mind blowing. Put this on my arm, an hour later, I took a nap and woke up 2 hours later and was like “Jeez, what’s this beautiful aroma?”, then I realized I sprayed Khamrah... and lo and behold, it was just as if I was just spraying it. It’s just too strong and loud. I just got it and It’s been 5-6 hours now and it’s still loud. Khamrah has a gingerbread meets cinnamon rolls kind of sweetness with a few extra delicious things thrown in. Which isn't strange considering the notes of cinnamon and nutmeg in the top.In the opening these two spices are strong and when they start to diminish a bit, the cinnamon never leaving completely, they get company from tuberose and milk chocolate covered dates. Yum! Vanilla appears, bitter and strict, and then bitter-powdery tonka beans and salty-sweet myrrh follow. I would say that this perfume lasts so long on me, there has been times where I would be exercising after a long day and the perfume would still linger on my skin. It performs really well for me in warmer temperatures. And that's when I realized that I needed to say something about Khamrah Lattafa Perfumes, despite the bottle, despite the attempt to imitate another perfume, all the more strange because Khamrah is quite original and attractive precisely because of its originality. Yes, this is a sweet perfume for lovers of sweet perfumes, however, Khamrah does not tyrannize with its sweetness, it remains affectionate and sweet, sophisticated and gentle.
