As well as the active thermal management system that reduces the output when the temperature gets too hot, the Warrior 3S also features a nifty proximity sensor that will automatically reduce the output if the head of the torch becomes too close to an object when it is setting 3 or higher so that the heat expelled from the torch doesn't cause any damage. If the obstruction is there for longer that 60 seconds then the light will turn off. The sensor can also be deactivated during use with caution, however turning off the light will reset this. The emitter of choice for this light is a Luminus SFT-40. The temperature is Cool White, at 6000K-7000K. This emitter is under a TIR, but there is no glass over the TIR.
