Pulp Fiction was unlike any other film I had seen at the time. My first reaction to it wasn’t an especially positive one. It wasn’t that I disliked it but, I didn’t care for Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs and wasn’t sure what to make of the overtly dark, crass humor, nonlinear storyline, mishmash of elements and period references in this film. Then I watched it again. The second time around I came to fully appreciate Pulp Fiction for the intriguing film noir that it is. The wonderfully crafted narrative revolves around three intersecting storylines that feature Los Angeles based mobsters, small-time crooks, a crooked boxer and a mysterious briefcase. exteriors like. The film is not abundantly brilliant and superfluously colorful, but tones throughout -- whether clothes, natural greens, the colors an instant yet endearing classic... making big studios sit up and take notice of smaller independent R-rated features once again

Paramount releases Pulp Fiction to the UHD format with a 2160p/Dolby Vision presentation. This hotly anticipated release will not be right, but when looking at the grading directly compared to the old Blu-ray, the improvements are substantial. Writer-director Quentin Tarantino delivers an unforgettable cast of characters— including a pair of low-rent hit men (John Travolta and Samuel L. their own hubs. The inner print is a two-panel spread that features Mia on the left and Vincent on the right, each pictured doing the "fingers over the Pulp Fiction received a new remaster and the resulting 4K Digital Intermediate was used to source this Ultra HD Blu-ray rendering. So here’s hoping that he drops the mic with something genuinely unexpected.

It also features interviews with others involved with the production. Pulp Fiction arrives on 4K Ultra HD for the first time and, apparently, approved by Tarantino, though I often wonder if it’s a matter of watching one shot and calling it good. Whatever the case, this 2160p high-definition transfer does look great and a decent upgrade over the previous Blu-ray release. Detail is well defined and colors appear well balanced. Watching I didn’t notice any significant or obvious signs of artifacts, aliasing or other flaws. Here Are Some Facts on the Fiction (20:37) is a roundtable discussion with some random critics as they talk about why Pulp Fiction stood out and how it stood the test of time (though the panel has its distracter as well). There’s no embossing or debossing, while the colours are bright and bold, with a nice glossy finish.

Official synopsis: Critics and audiences worldwide hailed PULP FICTION as the star-studded movie that redefined cinema in the 20th century. There was no need to worry though, as Tarantino’s second film, Pulp Fiction, was a huge box office and critical hit, and cemented his place as one of the most talented and important American film makers of the modern era, something he has reminded us of with each of his subsequent films. Maynard, Zed and Marsellus, Jimmy (entirely), Fabienne (entirely), and Vincent/Butch and the toaster. The steelbook included a 4k bluray and 2k bluray. The 4k bluray has Dolby vision and 5.1 audio, it also has special features. The 2k bluray had 5.1 audio but only includes the movie with no special features. From what I gather this is an older bluray release as the menu is different and the old Miramax logo comes up. The Supplements

Hands down, this is the best Pulp fiction has looked on home video. Kudos to Paramount Home Entertainment. Hopefully we can expect more of this type of support of the Ultra HD releases from their extensive catalog.
