Forum Description: Advice and queries on all camping and caravanning, and outdoor equipment from airbeds to fridges! Stay comfy from top to toe with a soft camping pillow and an Outwell air bed. Our camping pillows come in different shapes and styles so you’re sure to find the perfect place to rest your head.

Guarantee a great nights sleep with warm and snug sleeping bags and your choice of folding camp beds and camping airbeds. Lightweight camping mats cater to the more budget conscious camper and Camperlands also sell a selection of airbed pumps and pillows to make the camping experience a little more comfortable. Folding Camp Beds We have a wide range of blow up air beds, geared for different adventures. The right air bed for you depends on what you need it for and where you’re going. We then bought a couple of Outwell Campbeds, which we still use today, either in the awning, or as guest beds in the house for when our daughters and grandchildren come home to stay. There’s no right or wrong way to camp, just make yourself comfortable. Most people either pair up an air bed or camping bed with a sleeping bag, or even your own sheets, pillows and duvet. If you're needing more space for your bed, why not consider getting a double blow up mattress? Thank you so much everyone! Just need to find a single now lol Really appreciate all the input - thank you again - happy camping :)Thinner than a conventional air bed, self inflating mattresses take up less space and, as the name suggests, inflate themselves. They also provide consistent, firm support across the mattress making for an ultra comfortable night’s sleep. Improve your camping experience with Halfords Asenaldes - thank you. I have googled as you suggest and although images do come up I cannot find a single rubberised cotton airbed in blue and red to actually buy. If you have seen one would you put a link up please? Thank you :) I think you can still get them. I've seen them listed, often under the Lilo brand. We had one for years. It just would not die, but was too low, and the pillow bit was very hard. Single air beds and single blow up mattresses are an ideal choice for children and single individuals as they provide excellent comfort with room for your sleeping bag on top, whilst not taking up too much space within your tent. Double air beds and double blow up mattresses are a perfect choice for couples who desire some extra room within their tent. With a double blow up mattress, space and comfort shouldn't be a problem. And which air bed pump? Get off the ground when camping and enjoy a comfortable nights sleep with a strong and sturdy folding camp beds that will keep you away from the cold ground for a warmer, more restful night.

Caring for your inflatable mattress is easy. Here’s what you need to do to ensure your air bed lasts for years. Also it's an 'I beam' construction not 'box construction', in my opinion it does make a difference to the comfort ( but we are all different ) A similar thing happened to ours, in the end it started getting to the point that you became 'grounded' and very uncomfortable during the night, we found the rubber around the plastic bung had perished through many times of inserting the pump to inflate it, so it had to go to the great airbed cloud in the sky lol, its final days being used flat for our dog to stretch out on the tiled kitchen floor! Comfort and convenience are king for shorter trips and touring. You want an air bed that will keep you cosy all night. But you don’t necessarily need a top-of-the-range model, as you’ll only be using it for a few days at a time. If you’re travelling from place to place, you’ll also want an inflatable bed that’s easy to carry.Over inflating your air bed will put excess pressure on the seams, which could cause a blow out. The same goes for bouncing and jumping on the air bed. Under inflating your air mattress will mean it will sag in the middle and not offer the right support. You need to find the happy place where the air mattress feels firm, is free from creases, and the seams don’t look shiny or stretched. HI - does anyone know if you can still get (and if so where) those old style inflatable air beds that were a heavy cotton material but rubberised - usually red on one side and blue on the other with a pillow attached. I have seen some images on the net but cannot find a place to buy. Thanks Blowing up an air bed can require a good few pumps when using a manual foot pump, but most can manage this in a matter of minutes. If you’re needing to pump up large beds, or multiple beds, then an electric air bed pump might be a better option for you.
