An Angel Called Scruffy

Cipher and Angel have some sort of weird alliance in which they supply each other depending on what they need for their jobs or personal interests. Whenever Angel needs a special ingredient for his elixirs, books for Tinker or anything outside of the village like the magic regenerating fruit (He's not one to travel) Cipher will get it for him. In return, Cipher asks Angel for information and elixirs. His home also counts with a large and beautiful garden where Angel spends most of his time. In there, he has two tables with different implements for elixir crafting, he likes to work outside. Alfie has been with us for some time now due to his behavioural issues, he originally came to us from the welsh pound with no history so we have no idea what traumas he had been through before he got to us. Alfie doesn’t like meeting new people and can be very protective of his area, for these reasons we have come to the conclusion that it would be too stressful for Alfie to be rehomed so he will be staying with us living out his years in a safe environment that he is comfortable with and has members of staff that he has developed a good relationships with. He doesn't understand technology too much and he barely uses it because he doesn't like it. He doesn't have a computer, TV nor anything like that, only a small old communicator that he uses to talk to others, but nothing else.

This is a very sad case due Danny Boy’s previous male owner who was sadly suffering with-Alzheimers and didn’t realise what he was inflicting on his once best friend. But volunteers, who care for them in their own homes, warn they will have to be put down if permanent owners cannot be found.Of course, Angel isn't really willing to give them all the information, but he gave them a bit of it so they'd keep the secret. Since then, Cipher began to visit Angel often, sometimes asking things about the Mages that were answered in a vague way and others just doing some small talk. After a while they formed a no-so-close friendship in which both were aware of what the other did, but not saying a single thing to anyone else. So to sum up we are looking for an adult only, single person home with no other pets, lots of patience, love, garden and tennis balls! Lots of visits to spend time with him before adoption would be required, so someone not too far from us would be ideal (unless you love long and frequent journeys)! He barely travels, most of the time he can be found in his small house in the outskirts of the village. And when he travels, he usually walks towards his destination. For those of you that feel you can give our little lad the right home, you would have to visit him on a regular basis, over weeks, even maybe months for him to get used to you and to start to trust you, so this is something that must be considered.

Scruffy, on the other hand, relies a lot on Angel and is thankful with him for his contributions to the village, and while he knows that Angel might not have a very nice origin, he doesn’t mind, because he has seen with his own eyes how Angel is a good person… change that encouraged him to believe in Tinker in the first place. Details of the dogs in foster care are placed on Facebook and the pictures are regularly updated, but volunteers, who care for them in their own homes, warn they will have to be put down if permanent owners cannot be found. Angel protects Belle and taught her some basic chores; how to cook, clean, sew and do gardening (While Tinker taught her how to be a mechanic, repair objects, etc). She knew she could confide in him and vice versa, having nice talks during the afternoon in the garden. Angel is also impressed by Belle’s abilities and considers him a kind and adorable individual.

Overall he's very composed and will try to handle any situation with maturity and even serving as a mediator sometimes, doing everything to be as wise as he can. He likes listening to others and letting them to tell him their struggles, just lending them a shoulder to cry on or even give them advice if they want it, but sometimes it gets to him... as he tends to worry too much about others, making him over worried and keeping him awake at night if he knows that there's something serious going on. During the first months of Tinker's stay in the village, the unicorn always reported to Scruffy the progress that Tinker had every day, making sure not to leave any detail aside. Elder confided this to Angel because he trusts him and knows that while Angel is sometimes too good for his own well-being, he would tell him immediately if there was a problem with Tinker as soon as it happened. Angel has known Elder Scruffy ever since the goat was born, he met his father and his grandfather, who used to be the head of the village when the unicorn arrived. Despite being way older than Scruffy, he deeply respects him and will listen to him whenever the goat gives him advice or asks him to do something specific. Angel will always kindly help Scruffy in anything he wants. Taylor is a very energetic boy! He can be obedient and knows a few commands, he loves going for long walks and walks well on the lead so this will help burn off some of his energy. He does enjoy playing fetch/chase but only on his terms so once he has had enough then he will simply stop playing. When he's in a dark place, he can use his horn's shine to illuminate it, acting as some sort of lamp.

Due to his empathetic nature, Angel is a very sensible person who will experience emotions with a great level of depth despite the fact that he won’t show them too much, remaining calm and composed even when he’s going through a quite painful moment. Nevertheless, there are moments when he loses his cool, and it’s when he’s embarrassed or flustered. Despite his calmness, Angel is a very shy person who is easy to fluster, causing him to hide his face behind his hair and fidget with his hands as his face turns entirely red. Consideration must be taken when out with Danny, due to his fear of people, especially men, you would need to keep a distance from people and dogs whilst walking our Danny boy.

Mindy has now undergone a full heart scan by a specialist vet, the outcome of which is very uncertain. Surgery is not likely to be an option, instead she will be medicated with drugs. We are now seeking a reasonable quiet home for this lively pup who doesn't realise she has a heart condition. She may cope well for many years but we have to face the fact that this may not be the case. We need a compassionate, caring owner for this lovely girl who is prepared to take her knowing her prognosis. Medical costs for Mindy will be covered by the charity. He was brought over to Mutts in Distress, knowing that our vets are second to none and would help Chance to a pain-free life. He was started on pain killing medication and a plan to see if we could get the leg to heal. Unfortunately, it won’t heal and the decision was made to reluctantly amputate the leg but this is now not an option as his kidneys are not able to function. With a calm and friendly demeanor, Angel is a sweet, caring and tender mobian who is always willing to give a helping hand to those who could need it, without discriminating anyone for what they do; if they're in troubles, he will help them with a warm smile and a cup of tea with honey. He loves spending time in his garden, taking care of his plants and gladly greeting any visitor that comes to it, whether it is wild chao, little animals or even other mobians. His house is very small, it's a two story cottage that has a small living room, a kitchen, one bathroom, one bedroom and a small storage room where he keeps all of his instruments and important magic-related objects. His entire home is decorated with every sort of plants and it has a very cottagecore style, being made of wood. Please read my write up very carefully as I am looking for a very experienced special adult only home. First of all, I am ENERGETIC! Not just 'likes a walk energetic' but 'wants to be on the go all day, every day' energetic! If I don't have a really good run I can get frustrated and cranky and unfortunately can take it out on whoever is nearest to me. Secondly, I have no recall, none whatsoever! You may call me but I have far too many sniffs to explore or things to chase to take any notice so I will need a really secure area where I can run and run and then run some more! I have a very loving cheeky side but I need routine, structure, exercise and an experienced person who knows how to deal with me. I can be ok with other dogs but am very full on and dominant so would be better as the only pet in the home. I can get protective of some toys or bones so need someone who has dealt with this kind of behaviour before and because I have places to go and things to do I am very, very strong on the lead so will need someone who can handle me.
