Registration and first steps
Scout Players & Use SorareData – By far the best tool for scouting and trying to value players is SorareData. It offers far more info on each player than you get on Sorare itself and you’ll be able to see what fantasy scores everyone has posted over the last 40 games and see every price they’ve previously been exchanged at. There are both free and paid tiers but you can still get a load of useful info from the free version which should be fine for Sorare beginners. Sorare tournaments support squads with up to 5 players. Each team must have a maximum of 1 goalkeeper and a minimum of 1 defender, 1 midfielder and 1 forward. In selecting your squad, Sorare will display all available players on the left-hand side of the screen. Players have their average score for their past 5 games listed, as well as their bonus multiplier and their next opponent. A DNP notice might replace the average score value if the player has not played in the last 5 games. Similarly, if the player has no game going on in that respective game week, then an NG notice will appear instead. Selecting the player in your squad will grant you zero points. Where Sorare NBA gets interesting, is with the Points Cap that they have deployed within this platform. Quite notably, the MLB and Football platform don’t have these caps yet, but there’s nothing stopping them being adding in future tournaments. In Contender contests, users do not have the luxury of utilizing an MVP. That means every player card they insert into their lineup counts against the designated points cap. Most Contender contests operate with a points cap of 110 points, leaving around 22 points per player rostered.
