You don’t have the same traction you do in shoes. On the face of it this sounds like a negative, certainly if you are racing over gnarly ground, but the fact the your feet will move around in the sandals if you are not properly balanced and in control means you can't get away with being too aggressive, which is probably a good thing long term.

With the original design, there are no bonded materials, so everything could conceivably be recycled with ease, and they are suitable for vegans. They are infinitely adjustable, so you can spend a lot of time fiddling around with them to get them just right – although plenty of people love doing this. These lovelies are highly adjustable and true to size. The heel adjustments took me a bit to figure out, and that was mostly user error. I still need to trim the excess lace off, but at first it all felt kinda bulky. It no longer does. Granted, that may also have to do with the size of my foot. I'm a women's size 7, so the same hardware on my little hooves looks and feels more bulky than, say, if it were on my husband's size 13's. To get the perfect fit, loosen the heel strap, slide your foot in, position your foot and now, adjust the laces, being very careful and not using force, you do this by grabbing the lace and pulling in a sideways direction from the hole. Don't pull upwards as you can damage the sandal. Adjust the side of lace that has a knot (left for the right shoe and right for the left shoe) so that the knot is sort of in the centre of your foot, after that's done, adjust the lace that goes to the toepost so that it's snuggly tight. Then finally, adjust the heel strap while the cup is in the right position on the heel. Now you're done and have the perfect fit. The Genesis is easy to put on. Slide your foot in and pull heel strap on your heels. To remove them, pull the heel straps and pull out your feet. That’s all. The Genesis Sandal is the footwear you would want to grab if you’re looking for protection while maintaining the most minimalist experience with a shoe. Although the huarache-style sandal has its limitations in terms of grip and dorsal foot protection, it’s multi-purpose enough for many reviewers to use on a number of activities. All of our children’s shoes are wider than conventional children’s shoes. If you normally wear a larger size to get a wider fit in conventional shoes, you may not have to do that with Xero Shoes.
