About this deal

I didn’t think I was going to like this book when I first started reading it but I did actually end up loving this book. Sara Cate does a wonderful job about showing how one of the most feminist things we can do is explore our sexuality and kinks and then be completely unashamed about them and not afraid to voice what we want. Additional tropes in this series that you should be aware of before diving in. We have ex-boyfriends dad, age gaps, step-sister, bisexuality, BDSM, praise and degredation, polyamory, and kinks of all kinds. Remember the series is based around a sex club where kinks are accepted without judgement. In the meantime, Garrett can't stop talking to her with his online avatar. He can't stop himself from wanting to know more, and from telling her more about him. He's hiding more than she knows. And when we're allowed to see what that is, it left tears in my eyes. The sėxüäl tension is off. the. charts. HOT!! 🥵 But the emotional evolution is everything. Likewise, seeing the vulnerability and growth of both Garrett and Mia made Eyes On Me so much more than a steamy read!

There is absolutely no depth to the characters. There are mentions of the hero having some darkness and dealing with depression, but it's not fleshed out at all. It's just...there. I wasn’t liking Hunter till I was suddenly loving Hunter. His growth in this book just hit me so hard because I understand some of the struggles he’s gone through. Isabel is a sweetheart and I love her, but I am so freaking jealous of her. Drake is perfection for me, I knew going in he was a man whore, what I wasn’t expecting was to come out of this book loving a proud bisexual king. There’s also just like a shitty power imbalance the whole book, and literally at no point is it balanced— I don’t have the energy to dive into that rn but it was deeply disappointing to me This sibling rivalry is strange, mostly due to the fact that when they met she was 8 and he was 21. Like you seriously had a strained relationship with a child? Here’s the thing. I shouldn’t be rating this. It doesn’t meet my criteria, since I only read 50% of it. I normally only rate if I read at least 80%. However. This one follows Garrett and his step-sister, Mia. Mia came in to his life when she was just 8 and he was in his 20's. Although they didn't technically grow up together, any time they were in the same room they didn't get a long. Until one day, Garrett goes searching for some fun watching cam girls and his now 23 year old step sister tis the girl he finds online. He could have just logged off, but he just can't. So he starts talking to her, under someone else's name. Another man. He never shows himself, so how would she ever know? And, this way, he can have a bit of her. He can also show a bit more of himself to her, like he's never done with anyone else. But is that enough? It's not, because he craves her. He wants her, and he doesn't know what to do with that feeling.

And finally, I loved how strong Mia was. Was she slightly immature at times? Yep, but she's only 23 and it made sense for her character. But, she was strong in who she was, with her sexuality, and her comfort in front of the camera. I loved that she wasn't afraid of new things. And she wasn't afraid of Garrett's darkness. As one of the four owners of the Salacious Players’ Club, I’m comfortable on the sidelines. This is what I was made to do, and I work better alone. i was expecting a bit more “taboo” since this is a step-siblings romance but honestly it was barely mentioned that I forgot for almost the entirety of the book that they were. please don’t say that…. I know there’s no shame, but I mean…how would you feel if it was [your girlfriend]? Flashing her puss—" I enjoyed seeing the progress of Garrett and how he slowly accepted that he had depression. It’s rare to see it in books & especially from a MMC perspective.

He needs to go find out if this attraction is real, or if it was a one time thing only. Except he doesn't tell Mia he knows her *secret*. Man, I had to take breaks in between because things were so intense and my emotions were in overdrive. The same thing also happened when I read Praise and I’m expecting the same thing to happen with the rest of the series. And the way sex kinks are being explored… 😮‍💨 it’s top tier stuff. There were things I really loved about this book, and other things that didn’t quite work for me. I didn’t enjoy it quite as much the first one, but I am SO EXCITED to read the next book! I did quite like Garrett, but not Mia. For a sex worker, she was quite naive about a lot of things and her attitude of 'I'm not gonna befriend other women because they're catty' is so immature. Until the day I stumble on a certain cam girl app and find myself watching the one person I should never have watched—my step-sister.

When Garrett accidentally discovers his younger stepsister, Mia, is a camgirl, it puts her in an entirely new light for him. One, Mia and Garrett can’t stand each other. Two, she has no idea he’s the man on the other end of the video. And three, he’s hooked—on the app, and on her.Now Mia has awakened something in Garrett. She has him wanting and doing things he said he’d never do again, like opening up and getting attached. He’s falling for her, but she’s falling for the man he’s only pretending to be.I have been wronged. I was out moraled. I can deal with a lot when it comes to taboo romances. Birthday girl? Loved that shit. Age gaps? I can do it. Step siblings? Sure I guess, AS LONG AS THERE ISN’T A SIXTEEN YEAR AGE GAP AND OUR MALE LEAD KNEW HIS LITTLE SISTER SINCE SHE WAS EIGHT. AND SHES A VIRGIN. WHY.

This book has hotwifing – the act of wanting someone else to have sex with your wife – and polyamory. We deal with self discovery and acceptance a lot in this book in regards to sexuality. We also have scenes where a character is dealing with the trauma of having a homophobic parent and what that did to them. A lot of the qualities which lend themselves to the whole voyeur thing just don't jive all that well with my personal romance tastes. Meaning: partners watching their partners do things with other people and enjoying it. I'm just not really into that and it's super rare that I love books that have that as an element. I loved Mia and Garrett. Sara Cate can write chemistry between the love interests so well and their chemistry was palpable. I could feel it. Garrett is one of our Salacious Club owners and his specialty is voyeurism. One night when he is doing some "research" on some cam girl sights, he comes across a face he is all too familiar with. His 23-year-old stepsister, Mia. He has seen her as childish and annoying in the past and since there is a 15-year age gap between them, they don't have much in common. He can't stop himself from talking to her through a private chat and now he is too curious to make it a one-time thing. And have no fear... it definitely brings the spice. The kinks and the sexy times are epic. It just made this book work on so many levels for me. I cannot wait to see what the next 2 books bring. There is some great set up for the next relationship and I am very much anticipating how Sara Cate brings it to life. Of course Charlie is a fantastic character, I didn’t like her at first but she grows a lot in this book and I love to see it. She figures out who she is, what she likes, and isn’t ashamed to go for it. When I’m with Mia, I don’t feel alone or like I’m battling the heavy winds of my own emotions. I’m so focused on her, and even when we were fighting or teasing each other, with one look, she kept me tethered. It hits me that the girl I never thought I could be with might have been made for me all along. What I Struggled With
