About this deal

this book is centered on miscommunication. but they communicated everything yet still didn’t trust each other’s words. so basically they communicated but didn’t know what was real what was not. I am not sure that I bought that the H felt he was just being used by the h for sex when he knew how long she’d loved him for. And she apologised for making him think it was all just for sex and vowed to work harder. This is after he’d pushed her away for years and had gotten married and divorced to her best friend. He had his reasons but that still made me go wtf to his conclusion that h was in it just for the sex. Not many authors that I’ve read can capture this level of intensity without it feeling overdone or contrived. Now I am not going to tell you any more about this book because I went into it pretty cold and let me tell you...

Had he bothered straightening to his full six feet four inches and looked up from the canned goods, he would have caught that telltale flash of red. The color of forest fires and the temptations of hell. CHILDREN, like 8 and 10, are discussing their GENDER identity, naming numerous gender terms that are in mainstream media right now and discussing their own while asking Remi what hers is. It felt very much like the A was forcing their opinion on the reader. nothing says "I love you" like him rejecting you MULTIPLE TIMES and marrying your “best friend” instead for absolutely no good reason 😩😩😍😍😍😍😍At the end we have 4 people who are very close to each other, in an almost incesty vibe - as one happy family. Can I move to Blue Moon? I love the Blue Moon series (come on, crazed goats, meddling neighbors, the amazing Pierce brothers!!) and Not Part of the Plan is a fantastic addition. I loved Niko and Emma, their story and their happily ever after. But even more, I love the story of this town, the interaction between family and friends (and the occasional farm animal!!). This is the fourth in the series and can be read alone but I recommendreading the others. They are very good! And I love how each book builds toward the next. I can't wait to see what happens next in Blue Moon! - J. Williams

You haunt my every waking moment, Remington. The best thing about this world is that you’re in it.” Pretend You’re Mine is narrated from the point of view of the two lead characters: Luke Garrison and Harper Wilde. It’s an addictive light read featuring a multitude of dialogues. The plot focuses on the romance of the protagonists, but when we are advanced in the story, you will get good surprises because several turns appear that will have you even more hooked. Regarding the characters, the protagonists are very well crafted, and in the end, we see a clear development. Additionally, the story would not be the same without the secondary characters that contribute many things to the novel and enable the readers to get a better understanding of the main characters.he always knew she wanted to get out of the small town and wouldn’t ever settle but he didn’t want to leave This is the first time I don't finish a book by Lucy and the second time I wonder if it was written by the same Lucy of the Blue Moon series, so I guess I have to face the fact that she is not only capable but very good at writing misogynistic crap. I tried, really did, almost reached the 70% mark, but I was starting to feel nauseous and I hate food waste so I just gave up and dropped it. You didn’t put me in your shadow. The sun was shining just as brightly on me. I just didn’t notice it. It took all that for me to find the right path, my own path, to realize I was already standing in the sun.” The book was way too crappy for me to bother listing everything that was wrong with it, so let me just give you some precious quotes that sum it all up: hero was married to heroine’s bff years after the bff and heroine stop talking. hero then divorces the bff. YEARS later heroine and hero reunite.

Anyway, what do you think? Am I the asshole or is she? Because I think she’s just using me for sex and maybe, possibly, she might not want to settle down with me but also I’ve never asked her if she would. But she’s just so flighty! You know!?”The writing, the main characters, - terrible. Selfish. And the whole “oh Remi you are just the most special girl in the world” and the other female characters hated her for being so special and taking all their shine literally made me want to burn the book. Spare me that bs please. Too much smut. If you’ve looked at my GR shelves, you’re probably side-eyeing me 👀. Believe me, I’m there with you reading my own words, but the sheer volume just downplayed the romance & the plot too often in the second half. So much so I actually began skipping parts of the love scenes — if not all together later on. It felt so “wash, rinse & repeat” along with their kink just not being mine. {“hero” is POed at the heroine, instant steel rod in his pants, & they screw, then repeat.} His reason? Because he was convinced she was just like his mother, and didn't want the small town life. Now, mind you, he never actually ASKED her what she wanted. He decided FOR her what her life should look like, and brutally, and repeatedly, rejected her for it. He repeatedly chose his own emotional safety over hers, for years. THEN they finally get together, and he dumps her... rejecting her... AGAIN.... because he still won't ask her what she wants with her life. He just assumes she is like his mother. the last time i felt anything like this was exodus by kate stewart . that says something since that book is my lifeline.

It took him weeks to prepare mentally, to gird himself before being forced to exchange casual greetings across the dinner table. All across the USA, people are showing up dead. The deaths don't appear to be connected in any way until one particular death occurs and gets the Secretary of Defense's attention. He arranges for a task force to investigate.I’m drawing it out for effect. Jeez. This is the longest conversation I’ve had with someone I didn’t marry or give birth to in three months. Let me have this,” she insisted. He’s the kind of man who would talk you into dropping your panties in a coat closet at a party, dole out orgasms like after dinner mints, and then never call you again.” The “forbidden” elements were never validated. Piling up obstacles that have no real weight is 😴. Seriously, why bother?
