About this deal

In indoor phone calls or video calls, however, your voice is dark and muffled, and it can even be hard to hear what you're saying. I have never in my life bought a pair of headphones with a better quality-to-price ratio. They are so durable, comfortable (to my ears at least, although I do admit mine are little uncommonly shaped), with amazing sound quality. I bought my pair 2-3 years ago, and they still work perfectly, though battery life did suffer a little bit, but that's probably because I drop them all the time. Oh and, even if they ever failed at connecting, one hard restart and everything would work again! FIVE STARS - The SoundPEATS Air3 is a logical successor to the highly recommended SoundPEATS TrueAir2+. It's more compact, adds a gaming mode, and has noticeably better call quality - easily making it one of the best cheap AirPods-alternatives. All this makes the TrueAir2 sound relaxed, even though it's got plenty of punch in the lower frequencies. There's a steady mid-bass thump, and the bass sounds lovely deep as well. As these are half-in-ears, don't expect the biggest ear-shaking rumbles - the speaker just doesn't go into your ear canal deep enough - but there's enough body and depth in the bass. The bass doesn't sound muddy (as it sometimes does on half-in-ears), it doesn't distort in bass-heavy songs; it's present but not too powerfull.

The SoundPEATS TrueAir2 raised the bar for the sound quality on AirPods-like earbuds, and the Air3 continues down the same path - yet there are some differences. The SoundPEATS Air3, TrueAir2, and TrueAir2+ have lots in common. They look and feel the same, even though the Air3 is around 4 millimeters shorter and the case is more compact. Both products have the same 4,5 hours battery life, but the case of the TrueAir2 can recharge the earbuds 4 instead of 2 times more before needing new power. The Air3 handles especially indoor and video calls better than its predecessor, and its low-latency mode makes it more suitable for playing games. The TrueAir 2+ is the only model to support wireless charging. The case can recharge the earbuds four times fully before needing new power itself, giving the earbuds around 4,5 hours of playtime per charge. Nothing exceptional, but a solid score for half-in-ears.

Other connectivity on the SoundPEATS Air3 is solid, too. The Bluetooth connection keeps a stable signal up to 9-10 meters away from your device, including in areas full of wireless signals. Calling with the Air3 is an improvement over the TrueAir2. Your voice sounds warm and full in phone calls and video calls like Microsoft Teams and Google Meet, yet with enough clarity. Both indoors and outside, surrounding noises barely come through in calls. People chatter, claps, and accelerating scooters, are all reduced well. However: the processing of those sounds can drag away your voice into muddiness and inaudibility. Both the earbuds and the Xiaomi Mi Air 2 SE charging case are noticeably larger than the TrueAir 2's. The Xiaomi has slightly stronger connectivity than the TrueAir2, and the same battery life - but the TrueAir2 wins on outside calling. When it comes to music, however, SoundPEATS has the advantage. It sounds more open, has more detail in the bass and lower-mids, and while higher-pitched vocals don't have the same emphasis, they sound smoother - making the overall sound of the TrueAir2 just more pleasant. Sound-wise, the TrueAir2, TrueAir2+, and Air3 are around 90% the same. They share the same warm character with steady mid-bass, boosted lower mid-tones and vocals that become more prominent on higher listening volumes. However, the TrueAir 2 (Plus) does sound more open and balanced, as it puts vocals slightly more forward and extends upper-mids and highs more. The Air3 boosts mid-bass and lower-mids further, providing more warmth to the sound, and sounding more detailed in these lower areas. Both sound excellent for half-in-ears, but for more vocal genres, the TrueAir2 (Plus) may still have a tiny edge. SOUNDPEATS TrueAir 2 มีให้เลือก 2 สีโดนใจ ได้แก่ สีดำ และ สีขาว ชอบแบบไหนเลือกได้ตามสไตล์คุณเลยครับ The Tronsmart Onyx Ace is a wildly requested model for comparisons on half-in-ears, but if you read the Scarbir.com review, you'll see the TrueAir 2 outperforms it easily. The TrueAir 2 offers an hour longer battery life per charge and sounds much better - with way more detail and separation in the bass and lower-mids, clearer vocals, and more natural mids. The Onyx Ace sounds exactly like Apple's AirPods - and that's not a good thing. Advertised at 25 hours total, my experience was between 3 and a half and 4 and a half hours from a single charge. This is far better in real-world tests than the 1More Comfobuds and Taotronics SoundLiberty 80, which barely gave me 2 and a half hours. Are You Gonna Go My Way by Lenny Kravitz and Beautiful by James Blunt both show off the highly impressive frequency response and lucid soundstage. All of Me by John Legend shows how well vocals are represented - baritone, falsetto, counter tenor all extend beyond the orchestral elements enough to strike a good balance between breadth and warmth. Instrument separation is tougher with female voices - mezzo-soprano's like Leona Lewis see the mids recess a tad. But I'm splitting heirs here, if this is all I have to complain about then that speaks volumes. Note - this is by TWS standards, not IEM. Some minor tweaks that earn half a mark extra. Firstly, the case is still more or less the same size. The height is around 0.5mm more, and it weighs around 4g more at 37.5g, but kudos to SoundPEATS for managing to squeeze QI in there without a drastic redesign. The screen printed specifics have been removed, and it looks a little tidier as a result.
