The 2-story building houses an ice cream shop with roof terrace, a beach gear rental store and LEGO Friends Mia’s grandmother’s apartment and vegetable garden. The set comes with a cool open-top car, which Andrea and Mia can load up with their boards as they go in search ofthe surf. At the beach they can ride the waves and play with the dolphin and turtle toys. Like all LEGO Friends sets it includes a wealth of accessories to spark creative storytelling. A toy guitar, record player and sunscreen are just some of the elements included to help kids on their way to imaginative holiday adventures. Surfers Paradise is no exception to Gold Coast’s pleasant year-round weather. While it’s chilly from June through August, the sun stays out and temperatures rarely dip below 10℃, even in the evenings. The first store in the beachfront is, of course, an ice cream shop! I think that's a staple for any beaches I've been too. The side window faces the beach for pure convenience. At our beachfront hostel, you can choose from our air-conditioned dorms or private rooms. We have a stunning beachfront pool bar and a panoramic rooftop restaurant that serves delicious international and local cuisine, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. The next floor up is Nora's apartment. The décor is very beachy, with the artwork featuring surfboards and paddles. There's a settee and chair alongside a table with a floral arrangement. The convertible/beach buggy in this set is a delightful design in its own right. The body is somewhat boxy and utilitarian compared to many other Friends vehicles like 41390, but that's nicely balanced out by the curvy hood/bonnet design. Moreover, "family-sized" cars with two full rows of seats are a rarity in any theme, so it's awesome that this set's designer was able to work this much seating into a car with a fairly standard-sized wheelbase.The 3-in-1 Castle uses a bunch of 1x4x3 panels but I think they are just about the right size to be used, whereas 1x6x5 are a tad large. Cooler days, colder nights—that’s the shortest way to sum up fall in Surfers Paradise. Water temperatures are high enough to swim and surf, so it’s your last chance to grab your board and hit the beach before the winter chill creeps in. Please be advised that World Famous Restaurant adjacent to our property will be undergoing a construction project, of which we have NO control. This construction is scheduled to commence on Monday, October 16, 2023, and is expected to end Friday, November 3, 2023. Peak season hits in January, so if you can swing a trip in early December, you’ll enjoy cooler weather, lower humidity, and thinner crowds. The two biggest contributers to the discolouring of the plastic of Lego toys are long term exposure to sunlight and cigarette smoke. Try to minimise these when storing your Playmobil.
