About this deal

It has a strong feature set and performs fairly well in some aspects, but the smeary motion undoes a lot of the good work the set does elsewhere.

Hisense A7GQ Review: Great performance out of the box - Tech Week Hisense A7GQ Review: Great performance out of the box - Tech Week

HDMI stands for High-Definition Multimedia Interface. HDMI is a connection to send high quality video and audio from one device to another. This cookie is set by Bazaarvoice. Inside this set is a digital tuner, with the Freeview Play service built-in. As ever, it makes for a usable EPG and a decent set of catch-up services, however, the VIDAA U4 Smart TV operating system comes up short on apps. Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube are all present, but notable absentees include Now TV, BT Sport, Apple TV, Google Play Movies & TV and Disney+. Let’s cut to the chase: the 55A7GQ’s picture quality turns out to be hugely disappointing, especially as it arrives amid a generally upward trajectory for Hisense TVs.The rest of the VIDAA U4 experience is basically fine, and if that sounds like damning with faint praise, then it probably is. It’s usable, responsive and pleasant looking but, as with many TV UIs, we aren't convinced that the content suggestions are all that helpful, particularly when they require subscriptions and rental fees to access them. We do, at least, like that the content is grouped by genre and that it’s made clear which service they’re on before you select them. This cookie is set by the Bazaarvoice. Hisense 55A7GQTUK QLED Series 55-inch Smart TV Review

The Hisense 55A7GQTUK QLED series TV is built with Quantum Dot technology, which provides vibrant and accurate colors. This technology uses tiny semiconductor nanocrystals that emit light in precise colors, producing a wide color gamut. The TV also features Dolby Vision HDR technology, which enhances each scene’s brightness, contrast, and color, resulting in a more immersive viewing experience. It is available in screen sizes of 50- (50U7QFTUK), 55- (55U7QFTUK) and 65- (65U7QFTUK) inches. We are reviewing the 55-inch version, but the performance between the different screen sizes should be similar. Turn off the television and wipe dust and dirt off the screen with a microfiber cloth. Do not use paper, this can cause scratches. Do not apply too much pressure or you might cause damage to pixels. Use a specialized detergent or make one by mixing 1 part vinegar with 1 part water. Moisten the cloth with the detergent and clean the screen. Make sure the cloth is not too wet. Remove stains by making rotating movements. Dry the screen with a second microfiber cloth to prevent stripes. As a big-screen fitting for sports and movies, it also starts at a slightly cheaper asking price than the U7QF model it replaces. But does the more affordable price suggest the A7G is a downgrade on what came before? Design

Hisense’s laser TVs have received an update this year, with this being an area the company claims is leading the way forward with its ultimate aim being to create an “impeccable home cinema experience”.The brand uses its Ultra Short Throw Laser in the L5F Laser TV to deliver a highly detailed 4K image.

Second, while the 55A7GQ’s colours are routinely impacted by the screen’s inescapable grey overwash, there’s enough subtlety in the way blends and tones are presented to reveal that the TV’s core colour processing is pretty good, in keeping with other Hisense TVs we’ve seen recently. The first of two new laser TVs, the 100L9G-DLT100 TriChroma features a bright and detailed ALR screen regardless of the lighting conditions in your home. There’s also X-Fusion technology support for over 25000 hours of entertainment and over 1000 movies. Disappointingly, there are fewer HDMI ports – three instead of four, but ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) are covered across all of them so you could plug a game console into any port and benefit from those features – though they are HDMI 2.0 ports, not 2.1 specified. eARC is supported on HDMI 2 for pass-through of lossless audio. The Hisense 55A7GQTUK QLED Series TV comes in a 55-inch size, making it a great choice for medium-sized living rooms or bedrooms. However, if you’re looking for a larger TV, Hisense offers a range of sizes in their QLED Series, ranging from 50 to 75 inches. The larger sizes provide a more immersive viewing experience but also a higher price tag.

The TV comes with multiple HDMI and USB ports, providing users with various connectivity options. It also has a built-in tuner, allowing users to watch and record live TV. Additionally, the TV has a remote control with a built-in microphone, enabling voice control. Design The TV is pretty lightweight even with the stand attached, alerting you to the fact that all that glitters isn’t necessarily metal – but the plastic at the build quality’s heart isn’t apparent from any sort of regular viewing distance. Despite being a mid-range TV, Hisense promises best-in-class overall video and audio from the U7HQ. This model supports all HDR formats and boasts a wide colour range. There’s also a game mode for PC and console users. The E76GQ is the second mid-range TV from Hisense. The display features similar specs to the A7GQ and despite not supporting HDMI 2.1, it does support VRR, but seemingly only up to 60Hz. We’re looking to confirm this with Hisense.
