About this deal

The agents of large publishing houses are starting to take a closer look at self-publishing sales. These are indicators of trends and have led to a new category for publishers to consider, that of young adult romance fiction. Like I said, I MOTHERF*& An explosive, sexy thriller full of chilling admissions, incredible twists and turns, and some seriously creepy plotlines. I can honestly say that I’ve never read another thriller quite like it."— BookReporter.com There are genuinely spooky moments that had me squirming, and all sorts of twists and turns."— Business Insider

I cannot comprehend why the main narrator does not find a job or whatever like a typical college student... Too Late was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay darker than I thought it was possible for Hoover to go. I mean, have you seen her? She’s farking adorable. A great started reading these books and now all the women in the family are into them. My favorite is “Confession.” couldn’t put it down and the ending blew me away!! I never saw it coming!!!! For Christmas, all I ask for under the tree was Collen Hoover’s books!! Reply Add to this an important secret that threatens to keep them apart. Hoover writes with description that captivates her readers and doesn’t let go. In this story it is only through poetry that the truth is in their hearts, and the characters of Layken and Will hope for a future where their love can be a cause for celebration, not regret. Point of Retreat If you've yet to experience the delightthat is reading one of Hoover's novels, we suggest starting with this . . . Prepare for your pulse to race and palms to sweat."heres a discussion question for you all: at what point are you allowed to negatively rate a work of fiction because there are certain aspects you morally disagree with? additionally, at what point are you allowed to overlook those personal objections because the overall concept/idea of the story is just so dang interesting? this is the dilemma i am currently facing. Colleen Hoover's romances and contemporary fiction novels . . . grip readers with emotionally charged storylines, unique plotlines, and twists that leave us reeling."— Business Insider This little free book surprised me. Colleen Hoover's books are usually full of angst but overall they feature 'goody-goody' characters. As all good writers realize, she writes what she knows – family, friendship, change, and especially love. Her plots and characters have immense appeal among young women readers, and she sets her characters in modern day situations of friendship, new relationships, first love, and heartbreak. Slammed Her “new” book, Too Late, is not quite new – it has been self-published in several formats over the past 10 years. But it has now been edited and revised and this is the definitive mainstream version – much-sought-after among her completist fans.

The third installment in Colleen Hoover’s immensely popular series has the story told from the point of view of Will, Layken’s love in the original two books. This is a genuine story of young newlyweds, and the years of discovery still going on between these two beloved characters. She doesn’t sugarcoat the bad parts and glitter the good ones, the heroes are flawed and the villains are human’ ***** Reader Review You'll stay up all night reading this . . .Hoover expertly combines thriller with romance to test the boundaries of who is telling the truth, and who is lying."— Woman's Day Feelings of guilt and remorse have plagued the young Dean, and he searches for a sense of peace in his dilemma with Sky. When they finally reconnect, a greater pain embraced the young man. For the second installment in the series, readers learn more about Holder’s youth, and his search for redemption in the act of saving another. Connecting with Colleen HooverThe main character Sloan was somewhat annoying for me, which kept the book from getting all the stars. She is trying to take care of a special needs brother, going to college and putting up with a butt-holey boyfriend who is a nut job. Unravels a picture-perfect couple’s courtship and marriage in truly twisted—and jaw-dropping—fashion." At its core, “Too Late” is a thought-provoking exploration of love and redemption. Through Sloan’s tumultuous journey, Hoover challenges conventional notions of love, emphasising the importance of self-worth and personal growth. The book encourages readers to question societal expectations and find the courage to break free from toxic relationships. It’s a powerful reminder that true love should never come at the expense of one’s well-being. Conclusion: The title, Slammed, is a reference to poetry readings which are called “Slammings” at coffee houses and cafes where they are featured. In this story we meet Layken, an 18 year old forced into the new setting of small town Michigan after being raised in Texas.

Verity delivers the grand slam of thriller twists—the holy grail of 'what the…?!' moments . . . Itlit up my brain." She has an abusive boyfriend, Asa, and she stays with him since he pays the bills for her brother's care. He treats her poorly, he is violent and shows little redeeming qualities. The story is about Sloan, a girl that is apparently very strong and unyielding, however, in my opinion, she comes across as a whiny doormat. A breath-taking psychological suspense about obsession and dangerous love from TikTok phenomenon and #1 bestselling author ofVerity, Colleen Hoover.

Creative Play

So far, so enjoyable as a romantic thriller. But there is no getting around one issue: many of the passages told from Asa’s point of view are very uncomfortable. The sex scenes involving him are frightening and destabilising – we don’t know what his limits are. He threatens and chokes Sloan, and describes having sex with her, in detail, to another man. It is a long way from erotic. Today, it is easier than ever to truly communicate with an author and to get response to comment, praise and even criticisms. This is what fuels self-published independent authors. Instant response from their readership, that can guide their projects, and even their plots, to meet the demands of their readers. Five books in sequence have all led Colleen Hoover to best-selling status in the New York Times.
