About this deal

a b プレイステーション - Dance Dance Revolution 2nd ReMIX. Weekly Famitsu. No.915 Pt.2. Pg.21. 30 June 2006. Asian's AC Ver. "DDR 3rdMIX VER.KOREA" ". Archived from the original on 2013-07-22 – via www.youtube.com. Dancing Stage Featuring True Kiss Destination ( ダンシングステージフィーチャリングトゥルーキスデスティネーション, Danshingu Suteji Fīcharingu Tourū Kisu Desutinēshon) is the first "Dancing Stage" title of the Dance Dance Revolution series released in Japan and other parts of Asia on July 27, 1999. The Dancing Stage games in Japan all deviate away from the main DDR series of games and for True Kiss Destination, it features a themed set of music by the Japanese group of the same name as well as original music from Konami's in house artists. The core gameplay involves the player stepping their feet to correspond with the arrows that appear on screen and the beat. During normal gameplay, arrows scroll upwards from the bottom of the screen and pass over a set of stationary arrows near the top (referred to as the "guide arrows" or "receptors", officially known as the Step Zone). When the scrolling arrows overlap the stationary ones, the player must step on the corresponding arrows on the dance platform, and the player is given a judgement for their accuracy of every streaked note.

Japan: Dance Dance Revolution• 2ndReMIX (Append Club Version Vol.1; Vol.2)• 3rdMIX• Best Hits• 4thMIX• Extra Mix• 5thMIX The remainder of the songlists of each version consist of songs composed and produced by Konami's inhouse music composers - primarily Naoki Maeda and Yuuichi Asami though under the guise of several different pseudonyms. The core gameplay of Euromix 2 is similar to Euromix, but introduced the new two-tiered scoring system and freeze arrows to the European audience. As mentioned, Euromix 2 uses DDRMAX2's engine and interface but with some minor differences, such as Nonstop mode being accessed from the song wheel, difficulty selections being made before the song begins, and the options menu introduced by DDRMAX is not used, electing to still use step codes. These codes are entered on the song selection screen. Akagi, Masumi, ed. (1 February 2000). "Sega's CG Videos Top Game Charts" (PDF). Game Machine. No.603. Amusement Press, Inc. p.18.

Unlike EuroMIX 2, Dancing Stage MegaMiX implements the new Options Menu which debuted on DDRMAX: Dance Dance Revolution 6thMIX, allowing easier access to modifiers which required special codes entered on the difficulty selection screen on previous versions. [4] Interface & graphics [ edit ] Japan's AC Ver. "DDR 3rdMIX PLUS" ". Archived from the original on 2013-07-23 – via www.youtube.com. Euromix's engine is based on the Japanese arcade release DDR, and contains a mix of 18 officially licensed songs and specially composed songs for this release.

Different versions of Dance Dance Revolution 3rdMix were released for other countries in Asia. [13] The first release in 1999 removed four new songs, made "Strictly Business" unavailable outside of 2ndMix mode and had a bug when trying to enter the Shuffle modification. [14] Two versions of the game were later released exclusively in South Korea: VER.KOREA on April 1, 2000 and VER.KOREA2 on May 1, 2000. VER.KOREA features the same song changes found in the Asia version, but fixes the Shuffle bug and adds seven new Korean pop songs in 3rdMix and SSR modes. [15] VER.KOREA2 is identical to VER.KOREA, but adds nine more K-Pop songs. [16] a b c d Neko Neko. "Dancing Stage Megamix for Playstation 2 (PAL)". DDRers' Stompin' Ground (in Japanese) . On release, Famitsu magazine scored the game a 34 out of 40. [27] The successful DDR series began with the 1998/1999 release of this game, and its popularity can be attributed to the innovative connection between a dancing stage and the need for the player to move their body to match the instructions on the screen.
