About this deal

The foam handle is buoyant and comfortable to hold for long periods of time. It’s designed to flip butt-end up when submerged in water, which exposes the bright orange part of the handle so it’s easy to spot. The wrist lanyard is also comfortable and convenient, allowing you to shoot for hours at a time without worry. Floating GoPro handles are designed to be buoyant in water and provide a convenient grip mount that securely attaches your camera to the handle, allowing you to enjoy the activity without worrying about dropping or losing your camera. The handle also helps keep your shots steady while recording underwater and offers better control when aiming the camera in any direction. What are some common problems with floating GoPro handles?

FLOATS IN WATER: When you drop this floating hand grip/pole into the water, it will float. Its bright color will make it easy to spot. Alternatively you can add water to the hand grip compartment, so the bobber can achieve neutral buoyancy underwater. What is a floating GoPro handle? A floating GoPro handle is a buoyant accessory that can be attached to your GoPro camera to help it float in the water while you're taking photos or videos. The handle’s aluminum construction makes it a bit heavier than other poles. It also makes it sturdier. Floating design: The GoPro Handler is designed to keep your camera afloat in the water, making it perfect for water sports and underwater photography. If you’ve ever dropped a GoPro in the lake (or river or ocean) you know that gut-wrenching feeling. The easy fix is to use a GoPro float pole or handle to make it sink-proof. The official floating hand grip from GoPro does an incredible job keeping your camera afloat and enables you to shoot worry-free around the water. It’s well-made, durable, and extremely buoyant. If you’re looking for a handle to use around saltwater and sand then this is the one for you. If you’re looking for a floating GoPro handle that gets the job done and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, then this is the grip for you. It’s compatible with all GoPro models and provides a sure grip even in wet conditions. STORAGE COMPARTMENT: The cap on the bottom of the Floating Hand Grip can be unscrewed to reveal a hollow compartment that can be used to add water (to achieve neutral buoyancy underwater) or store small items. Comfortable grip: The hand grip features a soft and non-slip material that provides a comfortable and secure grip, even in wet conditions.

Experienced GoPro Videographer: I’ve been shooting with GoPro cameras for over 11 years. My first GoPro was the Hero3 Silver, bought for a Galapagos work trip in 2012. Today I own 20+ action cameras, including GoPro, DJI, and Insta360 cameras. If the action camera already uses the GoPro three-pronged attachment system, as cameras like those from Akaso and the DJI Osmo Action do, you’re all set. Just mount the camera and off you go. If your camera doesn’t use that system, you’ll need an adapter. The most common type would be a reverse GoPro tripod adapter that connects the GoPro attachment to a standard tripod thread. Things Worth Knowing Traditional bobber handles float, but they only give you about 6 inches of reach, at most. But what if you want some extra reach to get closer or a higher vantage point? Maybe you want to get closer to the underwater wildlife (and no, I’m definitely not condoning bothering the animals), or perhaps you want a higher vantage point for a different perspective than standard eye level. One of the immediate challenges of shooting in water with GoPros is that they don’t float. If you’re in a pool that’s only 6 feet deep, that’s not much of a problem. But if you’re in deeper waters—perhaps surfing, body boarding, kayaking, snorkeling, Scuba diving, or boating—you don’t want your camera ending up on the bottom of the ocean, lake, or river. There are several different ways to make GoPros float, and I’ve covered some of them separately. What I’m focusing on here are GoPro float poles that give you flotation as well as extension. It’s worth noting that there are quite a few GoPro poles that are marketed as waterproof, but that doesn’t mean they float. I’m focusing here on the ones that provide buoyancy. This vintage GoPro float handle is the least expensive on the list, and the most colorful. It is easy to spot if dropped, unlike most of the other handles and poles on this list.GoPole specializes in floating extension poles. They have several models, including the long Reach, which extends up to 40 inches, and the Reach Mini, which collapses down to 7 inches and out to 21 inches. Also, keep in mind that most floating handles are designed to hold one action camera at a time. If you plan to add extra accessories to your mount, be sure to test its buoyancy with these accessories attached. The third is the 2in1 aspect that the product’s name refers to. You can unscrew the extension tubes entirely and, using an adapter that comes in the box, attach the camera directly to the handle section. That turns it into a handle grip. The method it uses to do this isn’t as convenient as the MicroJib Flow’s method—you’ll need the separate adapter and then have to do something with the float tubes—but it works and adds to the versatility. You then have a choice. By default, it will float just like a regular handle bobber. But if you need neutral buoyancy for Scuba diving, you can fill the compartment with water. Are all floating GoPro handles the same? No, floating GoPro handles can vary in terms of their design, materials, and features. Some may be extendable, while others may have additional features like built-in grips or mounts. It's important to choose a floating GoPro handle that is compatible with your camera and meets your specific needs. When choosing the best floating GoPro handle for your needs, there are several factors to take into consideration: Stability
