Updating classic characters and integrating them into the current Generations line and style, Legacy features the expected re-releases, repaints and retools alongside new action figures. It doesn't. Prime had over 110 figures in it's retail line (including Beast Hunters, excluding First Edition and exclusives) while Legacy is currently at 70-ish (excluding exclusives). 2024 will probably surpass Prime, though it may be a three wave line so they can do something new in 2025. For 15 seconds, fires plasma discs dealing small damage and bouncing onto up to 4 nearby targets, each bounce dealing 20% less damage. Despite all that, a memorial of Megatron can be seen prominently in the Decepticon Crypt in " Starscream's Ghost", implying that the Decepticons who built it considered Megatron to be dead. This could possibly be explained by presuming the Decepticons built the marker before Galvatron returned and seized command, though their window of opportunity to do so was rather slim.
But Megatron did not die, living on within Unicron, absorbed into the chaos-bringer's body. Ten years later, when the alien Alpha Q began his plan to restore Unicron with Energon, Megatron was able to siphon some off for his own and create a new body for himself. Returned to life, he promptly took over Alpha Q's objective, raiding the Autobots' cities on Earth for Energon to resurrect Unicron as the ultimate weapon. But Unicron's power was too much for Megatron to handle, and he became possessed by the dark god, transformed into Galvatron once again-through exposure to Super Energon-and mutated into a planet-sized titan. Refusing to be a servant, Megatron shook off Unicron's control long enough to hurl himself into an Energon sun created by Primus, once again appearing to give up his life rather than let Unicron win. Released in the fourth Transformers 2010-centric wave of Kabaya's line of Transformers Choco candy toys, this version of Galvatron is a small, transformable model kit made of one solid color plastic, available in various colors including blue, red and green. As with all the Transformers Choco figures, he came with "Chocolate Dots", small candies similar to M&Ms. Galvatron's toy's instruction sheet names the big orange weapon a "laser" which, according to the toy bio, "emits chemically-produced, direct-current electricity". While this is a rather strange thing for a laser to do, it is a neat pun on his name. A galvanic cell, named after Luigi Galvani, is a certain type of chemical voltage source. Though Galvatron's toy's batteries are not galvanic cells, they do produce DC electricity chemically, making his toy one of the more fiction-accurate in the original toyline. Galvatron took to talking to Ratbat, as the cassette perched mutely on his shoulder. He was also even more abusive than usual towards his men. He was pleased when a potential new source of energon was discovered on an asteroid, but particularly displeased when Cyclonus returned with a small alien. After exhaustive tests by a violently coerced Cyclonus, positive results were found, and Galvatron rubbed his hands together in glee before sending out Ratbat to find more of the aliens. Instead, they discovered that the Autobots were also on the asteroid, and Galvatron was more than happy to start inflicting violence on the enemy rather than waste time on small organics. The Test Whether he's born from the fires of Unicron himself, an ancient Transformer warlord, or something else altogether, one thing is always certain: Galvatron is a focal point of power and madness given form. He is blind to all but his lust for power; his whims and desires can be sacrificed in a moment's rage. Not even his own subordinates are safe. Though he is not beyond the capacity for long-term goals, it is his unpredictability and casual disregard for any and all life that strike such horror in friend and foe alike. Truly, the Decepticon leader is without any sense of empathy.

In his proper time, Galvatron, with the Golden Disk in tow, swore to Unicron that he will find a way to break free from his servitude. Kingdom episode 1 The Golden Disk was eventually in the hands of the Maximals, and Galvatron allowed Predacon Megatron and his band of thieves to steal the disk and take it to Megatron in the past, out of hope to prevent his encounter with Unicron. Kingdom episode 6 While Megatron was in a maze-like forest that was altered by the Allspark, he envisioned Galvatron claiming he must try again and again. Kingdom episode 3 An unnamed Decepticon based on the Cybertron design of this Megatron appeared in " Bots of Science", and a generic Carcerian in Windblade vol 2 #7 uses Megatron's Armada design. In the subsequent Golden Age, Galvatron became one of Nova Prime's closest friends and advisors. All Good Things He later served on the first Ark, part of Prime's dream of expanding Cybertronian domination throughout the cosmos. However, Galvatron and the crew were lost when he plunged the ship into the mysterious anomaly in the Benzuli Expanse, a selfish act that killed the rest of the crew. Undead, Galvatron became the herald for Nova, now known as Nemesis Prime, ruler of the Dead Universe. As the only member of the crew who could survive the living universe for any length of time, he was sent to secure the inactive Thunderwing Spotlight: Galvatron and to prevent any interference with their plans for Earth. During the great war on Cybertron, Megatron created the Decepticlones, an army of drones in many shapes and sizes to aid him in the takeover of Cybertron. Legends Galvatron comes with a leaflet featuring a character profile, tech specs, and Bonus Edition Vol. 23 of the Legends manga. It’s entirely possible you just read those lines in the voices of Rumble, and Galvatron respectively. A key character in the Transformers mythos introduced in Transformers the Movie, Galvatron is a popular character who has never had the amount of attention as his predecessor as Decepticon leader, Megatron. For years, fans have waited for the day Galvatron might receive a “definitive” version.

This is just a mini-review that goes over differences between the Legacy and Kingdom versions of Galvatron. The main obvious difference is that all the "battle damage" has been removed. Granted, the way it was done on the Kingdom version didn't make a whole lot of sense, and sometimes, less is more. The "battle damage" marks have been removed the cannon, forearms, chest, and lower legs. The bare plastic and paint colors are otherwise the same.The official in-house title of the toyline is " Transformers Generations: Legacy", which is often used in online product descriptions given to retailers. The name used for the line's logo, however; is just " Transformers: Legacy". Armada Megatron — This Super Rare character could be recruited by collecting 350 units of Cybermetal, 115 units of Transmetal, 70 soldier cores, and 5 cores of this character. At TFCon 2016, when Flint Dille was asked if Galvatron was meant to "retain the memories of Megatron" after his reformatting by Unicron, Dille (who seemed confused by the question) replied that Galvatron *does* still see himself as Megatron and that the Unicron-Galvatron relationship is a parallel of the Megatron-Starscream relationship.
