About this deal

Now a major ITV series, Grace, adapted for television by screenwriter Russell Lewis and starring John Simm. First pictures of Grace filming on location, 16 September 2020". Brighton & Hove News . Retrieved 7 March 2021. Learning that Tom has made a statement to Grace’s team, the killers have to act. But when they plan the murder of the Bryce family, it’s not just revenge – it’s entertainment. Daily Express James dreams up a horrific intersection of extreme perversion and Internet technology in his frightening, expertly constructed second Det. Supt. Roy Grace novel . . . the rapid-fire suspense builds to a terrifying, graphic conclusion that leaves tantalizing room for future installments in the series

Theatre includes The House On Cold Hill (National Tour) Nell Gwynn (Shakespeare’s Globe and Tour); Not Moses (Arts Theatre); Catalina (Oval House); Still I Pray (St. Bartholomew-the-Great, Barbican); The Colour of Justice (The National Theatre and Tour); Work Life (Toucan Theatre); Goodnight Desdemona Good Morning Juliet (Toucan Theatre) Before writing novels full-time, Peter worked as producer and/or writer on over 25 films as well as creating television shows for Channel 4 and ITV. He admits the low point of his film making career was the comedy, Spanish Fly, starring Terry-Thomas and Leslie Phillips, which he co-wrote and produced and was described by the critic, Barry Norman as, “The least funny British funny film ever made”. His high point was the BAFTA-nominated A Merchant of Venice, starring Al Pacino and Jeremy Irons. Three of his novels, Prophecy, Alchemist and Host have also been filmed for television and ITV television produced the documentary, Babes In The Woods , hosted by Sir Trevor Macdonald ,which was inspired by the non-fiction book of the same title that Peter co-wrote with former Chief Superintendent Graham Bartlett. East 8 became EastEnders and now over 36 years later I have enjoyed many wonderful and different storylines. The series, based on the bestselling novels by novelist Peter James, [2] was adapted by acclaimed screenwriter Russell Lewis, with a pair of films, comprising the novels Dead Simple and Looking Good Dead, filmed in 2020 for broadcast in 2021. [3] Dead Simple, broadcast in March 2021, attracted an estimated 7.2m viewers, which made it the fifth-most-watched programme for the week of 8–14 March, according to BARB. [4] Peter James happens to be my second favourite author, after the queen that is Val McDermid of course. So I was ecstatic to learn his second novel in the Roy Grace series has been adapted into a stage play. A chilling event at the Royal Edward Hotel on the night of ACC Vosper's leaving party forces Grace into a difficult position. I don’t care for woo-woo in crime novels, but James just about gets away with the angle. There’s an intriguing throwaway comment about how police elsewhere will call in a medium more than you’d think, along with a character I hope James will revisit — a cop-turned-medium who seems to know a bit too much about what’s going on in Grace’s life. Peter pursues many interests in his relaxation time, including his extensive charity work. A self-confessed “petrol head”, Peter races classic cars at circuits around the country and has been a regular at the Goodwood Revival for several years. His enthusiasm remains undimmed after a surviving a horrendous high speed crash at Brands Hatch in 2013, although his publishers and his fans might prefer he took up a somewhat safer past-time – bowls, perhaps?

The family life created on stage felt very authentic, with the constant squabbles and jokes. Tom Bryce (Adam Woodyatt) was a caring father figure and realistic argument maker, probably thanks to Adam’s many years in Eastenders. Kellie Bryce (Haynor Faye) was relaxed, fun and feisty and her son Max (Luke Ward-Wilkinson) the typical tech obsessed teen.

Grace is a British television crime drama series, based in the English city of Brighton & Hove, that stars John Simm in the title role of Detective Superintendent Roy Grace, a dogged detective who, haunted by the disappearance of his wife some years previously, solves a variety of cases. [1] Theatre includes Adam in How to Disappear Completely and Never be Found (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland), Phillipe in The Speculator (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland), Jasper in Function (National Youth Theatre). DEAD SIMPLE, the first in the series, was one to read with the lights on, and LOOKING GOOD DEAD has a selection of very creepy villains. And James is particularly strong in those scenes with Tom’s family where it looks like his on the surface perfect life is collapsing around him. I started acting when I was about nine years old, at first in commercials and then in Oliver! as one of Fagin’s Gang at the Albery Theatre (now Noel Coward). My next role was ‘Ragamuffin” in Tom Stoppard’s On the Razzle at the National Theatre and also on tour in Edinburgh and Bristol. TV includes Harley and the Davidsons, Eastenders, Mr. Selfridge, Call the Midwife, The Great Outdoors, Waking the Dead, MI High and Moving Wallpaper.
